Huge lag since update

Ever since the servers came down for emergency maintenance I have experienced extreme lag (1 or 2 bar pings) where previously pings were always 4+

I tried a clean reinstall and that didn't resolve the issue. 
Playing on the world server from NA (because no one is ever on the NA server it seems)

Suggestions?

    The above mentioned server maintenance has made no improvement at all in lag.

    Hello veloxxx,

    Unfortunately we had some technical problems in our servers in the last hours, we made a emergency maintenance and applied some backend changes in order to improve quality and stability of our servers. However, we are still working on our IDC (Internet Distribution Center) to complete the process. Until then, you might experience unusual connection problems/high ping.

    We are also collecting all users data on this topic on our forum: http://forum.papayaplay.com/index.php?p=/discussion/119216/community-feedback-server-stability-august-07th-2016 and would appreciate if you could add here your information, and also ask your friends that might have the same problem, because this information will help us to investigate and solve the issue faster.

    So, it's been 10 days since this response and my ping/lag is still in the basement. I guess it's time to find a new game.

    Too bad. This was fun while it was playable.
