Forums With "Announcement" Tag

I notice that some Forums threads have the word "Announcement" tagged to them (in red), even though the original postings are from players. It's not a separate item (i.e. you can't click on it).  Does this mean there is something that should be searched somewhere else to get all the info? Just curious. [Still getting used to the new Forums.]

    I've noticed it most in the Technical Section.  Btw, couldn't edit my last comment (original posting), even though I made it only a minute later.  Some trick there?

    Bump...hoping someone knows what that "Announcement" bit is about in the Technical Postings.

    Hello! For a reason i can't edit also my last post, it seems that after many posts i lose that option of editing (yes the 1 hour one!) and i havent seen anything "Announcement" tag around. Can you post a prnt screen so i can see for what are you talking about? I haven't noticed that in forums :S

    I'll have to figure out how to get a print screen.**  But you can check it out.  Go to Forums -> Technical Support.  The first three postings on my screen show the word "Announcement" with a red background underneath the title of the posting.

    Like I said, you can't click on it or anything.  I'm guessing that it's just to let you know there's more info somewhere's else.

    **When I do an F12 on this PC, I get some weird panel show up on the right side of my screen.  It looks like scripting directiives.  Here's a sample....I deleted bunches of it.

    I figured it out...lol!  Those postings (with the red "ANNOUNCEMENT' tag beneath them) were INITIATED by Papaya, but players can respond to them.

    Sorry for being such a noob....just think of me as a "dead cat".  (You know "Cuiousity killed the cat....."...lmao!)
