Illipia Gloves and GD wep combo?

I was just wanting to pick every ones brains about a elemental dam question I'm facing.

I finally made my axe last night and the GD 2 hand axe has light dam 200 if I'm correct and my illipia gloves have 190 ice. I'm left thinking I should just slot it with the light gems & maybe get a pair of 18+ op gloves.

Would love ya feed back on the pros and cons of changing my gloves I kinda like the matching set.
