First of all it theres any gramatical errors english its not my main language so pardon me.

Getting back to topic, i know this is not the first time this has been discussed, nor will be the last time.

I used to play this game back in the old days (good days) beta thru action 5. This game used to be my favorite hobby, the reason i wanted to get back to my house from school (15 years old at the time) used to be a place where i had a lot of friends and could just have fun all day every day, i stopped playing when my 137 hunter got hacked (thanks acclaim) and never really gave it another chance ( went to pservers instead).

Now i finally come back after all those migrations, thinking about oh im going to crespo dg at level 60 or even python at level 90, all those things that made this game great are now gone. Everything its buy to win now and pvp based, this game used to be a grind, it truly did.. It took me 2 days to get to level 130 and i didnt even flinch.

It feels like a glitch free pserver if you ask me..

The community SUCKS, every high lvl player thinks theyre gods, i asked a bunch of questions to some ppl and i just got pked lmao, theres no reason to come back and even try to level because when u get to a certain level you get there so easy theres no time to get your set ready, and the drops?? +-7 drops?? are you kidding me ? having a +-7 wep or armor used to be the shit back then, why would you ruin it by just dropping them? and the classes?? UNBALANCED, OVERPOWERED, this game truly lost its magic if you ask me, the reason why alot of people play mmorpgs is because you get involved with other people from around the world and get to an objective as a group which was 2moons back then by doing dgs, deadfronts, cq partys at draco, avalon, all that just faded away and all the peoeple that used to really enjoy this game faded away too, acclaim fault? maybe, gamehi fault? maybe, dshop overpowering items? maybe, but we used to get thru all that because the community was still there, this game is dead and empty, i truly miss those good old days, days that will never come back and i know this is just a videogame but for some of us it was really something we looked up for after a bad day or such, i know this game will never be the same, ever... I guess coming back for nostalgia is not worth it.

Nothing will compare to those days man. I'm sorry you had a bad experience coming back to the game. For the most part, I'll agree with you, most of the community is a big steaming pile of crap. python and draco and crespo dung are all still there, the game was reworked years ago to compensate for a higher level average. if you follow the main quest line you get to visit all those places. As for drops those stop at 140+ theyre all +0 apart from one quest which gives you a +5 set which in this day and age is NOTHING +5 means shit.

The game is in its old age now and they have to compensate for new players coming in with no knowledge thus giving them a leg up. There is an awful lot more to this game these days than having a high level and a +7 set. In action 4 you were great.

As for high level people being dicks theres been dicks in this game since it began, the first day i got to hh on my summy at what level 25 or so back in action three some dick pkd me its the way of the game and it still is. so eat some concrete and harden up.

Seems like you just asked the wrong people, but you are completely right. Its too easy now to lvl.
If u do come back u can drop me a msg - AvatarKorra (Currently stuck due to in-game related bug no reply 5days GG papaya/vertigo.) Or AvatarAang. Im always down to give peeps a hand! - providing they arent flamers and have a higher iq than a stick.

Hello @manuelg95! Yeah the game changed a lot since you stopped playing but let me point out some things. Dekaron was never a full grinding game. It was and it still is a PK/PVP based game but yes i agree that $ can give more power to players unlike the past. Besides, is really easy to level these days and you can hit 190 within 1 or 2 weeks of farming, piece of cake i would say! By dropping +7 gears or weapons doesn't ruin the game at all, besides its helping people (like you) to remain in game and have a better gear to farm, gear in my opinion doesn't really matter on PVP or PK if you don't have updated rings or necklaces (talking about mds/wdr). It seems you tried to get some help by asking people in Crespo.. Why don't you join a guild that can help you farm and level? They are plenty guilds in the Guild Recruitment section that they need players! Well.. yeah old days bring you nostalgia because Dekaron was way different than it is now and i agree with you pal but if a game won't update for some time it will lose it's value and people will start to look for a better game to play.. I hope i answered your questions if you have some more feel free to ask^^

What Tomori said is true. I started to join global dekaron 2 years ago and my biggest break was joining a guild that genuinely helps new players. Some of the veteran players even gives out karma koins and decent equips. Whenever they're online we go on daily quests and if we find good equips in the market they loan us the dils then we pay up later. I'm sure there are still guilds like these where you can develop camaraderie and have each other's back. If there's none it's not yet too late to start your own, make one strictly for newbies then you can invite some high levels that have nothing else to do but is willing to help out. I even know some players who made it out on their own without ever joining a guild nor spending a single dollar and they're much better equipped than me. If you want high end gears/items but don't have a dollar to spare for dshop you do it the long way which is grind-grind-grind. Always take advantage of the events and don't ever miss out.

Hi @manuelg95.

As most people already have stated, the game as you know it, no longer exists. But all hope is not lost.

- While grinding levels isn't the challenge anymore, given you can hit 170 in a rather short amount of time due to the in-game items known as "runes", the challenge is now to get past the 170+ barrier, and grind your way to the good items.

- Due to the massive inflation from the DShop gold bullion time, everything now costs so much.

- +7 equipment is nothing nowdays. As you yourself stated, it drops +7 equipment, and even +8 at times (not sure if this goes for all levels of equipment). But due to the above-mentioned market inflation, getting +9 equipment is not an easy task if you start out a new character.

- As for the unbalance you mention, any game will have gaps between the different classes you can play. There will always be a FotM (Flavour of the month), in the case of Dekaron, the month part is just more of a permanent state until new action/class is released.

- Dekaron has been P-2-W for a long time due to DShop, but it seems that the new publisher is looking to remove/decrease this. They have already limited the items in the DShop a lot, but obviously there will still be keys you can buy for boxes, getting those rare, expensive items, making a lot of money to buy +9 gear. But all those food buffs, OP items are generally gone for now.

- People think this is purely a PvP/PK game. And while it is a main part of the game, it isn't the only thing to it. A lot of people forget this, and will PK without thinking. I agree that the community in Dekaron is garbage 9/10 times. If you go to the level 170 map, people will PK you for being in "their" spot. So possessive people become, greedy even. But people will be people, while they are bullies most of them, you once in a while find those nice guys/gals, making friends with them easily. The way of the MMORPG genre.

Inflation is already suppressed, I think prices are decent now, way better than the 500b prices or however high they got.

Well of course stronger players will try to take/uphold better spots by means of PK, thats the way the game has been for how many years? To be honest, PK for PvE spots happens a lot less now than in the earlier stages of the game.

@FlyzaPls Just curious how you can get to lvl 180-190 so easily. I have a player at 172 and I keep grinding away trying to lvl him up. But I've found it's really slow going. (In fact, I'm at a "Dead Stop" for now till they get the login issue fixed...lol!)

I keep hearing about these "runes" things but not sure how they work, or if I've ever gotten one. Are they like an amulet? Are there different types of runes?

When I can get in the game, I've been doing DFs and Dungeons as much as possible. But admittedly, I'm more like a "weekend warrior", only playing sporadically Mon-Fri when I can, and a few hours on Sat-Sun.

Thanks in advance for any tips.

I bought rune package (think it had 5 runes) from dshop and used watermelon rune, bought some IB2 tickets and solo'd it for a week. Also had an exp amulet, dont remember how much %. But I spent like 10 euros I believe

Runes are buff/exp items, you only need to have them in your inventory and they will randomly trigger the buff and exp if you kill mobs. They excell at IB and IB2 because of the amount of mobs. Though they can also work well in DF/Ice castle, as long as you have the first hit on the mobs. Watermelon runes often reappear in events where you can get them for free or by farming. Also other runes like quickness/explorer/pumpkin/Rudolph (christmas event). They can also appear in dshop as a package.

Also you can stack multiple runes as long as they are not the same, 2x watermelon won't give more triggers, but 1x watermelon and 1x quickness will both trigger independently.

Just to add something as a new player who came back after a 4-year break and started from zero. The community seems to be getting worse and worse the higher level I get. It ranges from many people simply ignoring you to getting kicked from party or pked for trying to make some small talk. The guilds I have been to are empty, the agency is empty, more than half the people I met spoke in broken English. I would have probably quit already if I haven't met few nice people. The overall feeling I get playing as a new player is me against the world. Currently 153 level and going up and if that is the way it is nowadays I won't be playing more than a few days anymore. Dekaron/2moons was always an elitist game but the thing I see now is worse than the job market in real life.

@Kelyje2nx Sorry you're having such bad luck meeting some good people in the game. You might consider the game to be like a mini-cosmos of real life. Some people can be absolute jerks and pricks, while others can be genuine and proactive.

The Guild and Alliance I belonged to are (were?) great except many of us are having trouble getting back in the game due to disconnect problems. (Also, many of our members left because of what was happening with Nexon in command.)

I recommend that you check out the Guilds tab in these Forums. I think you'll find some good ones there to play the game with, who WILL be positive spirited and helpful. And remember, if you get with a guild you don't like, you can always switch to try another.
