Returning player with a few questions

It's been like 2 years since I last played Dekaron. Seeing that it's moved to a new company I wanted to give it another go. I've been playing this game for well over 7 years and I just cant give up on it. So my questions are: How is the playerbase right now? Do we have more people active or this game is still losing more and more people? How does papaya compare to nexon?

    Hey. I also have been away for over 2 years and came 3 weeks ago to check this out.
    The game is honestly empty compared to how it used to be back then. DKSQ matches are now a 2v2 and all people really do is kill guard stones. So that aspect of the game is dead...

    Hardly anyone does any pve when it comes to farming as well. Most of the people are now sitting in ardeca spamming buying/selling messages in chat and also some people pk each other in crespo. Other than that everything else seems just empty...

    I don't know how nexon was in the last 2.5 years, probably as bad and greedy as they have always been since the game is this empty now... But from my experience Papaya is no better. 
    They claimed to want to remove op items from the dshop but put in a 50$ insanely OP costume and wings (and the wings are bugged even...). No ingame updates or bug fixes, only more and more ol' dshop events. 
    The current "Event" is about upgrading papaya belts/bracelets.. but just as it was with nexon both the drop rate and the success rates are so low, that you simply cannot get even 1 of those pieces to +9 without spending money on a "random box" to get crystals to try and upgrade. So basically nexon 2.0 so far.

    Im not going to stay for much longer either because there is nothing to do and I don't want to go back to being milked out of my money all the time.
