I'd say stick with your Aloken if you enjoyed playing that class.  "Fun" and "ability" are the two keywords when picking a class.  IMO, all classes eventually balance out to some degree, but it mostly depends on your personal strengths/weaknesses with playing a given character (and of course your equipment and upgrades).  Admittedly, the Seg is not a powerhouse in any event. She is more valued for her healing properties.  And one class (I forget which right now) can be expensive to equip because it requires two weapons.  (Sorry...I can't get logged in to check which class that is for you.)

Of all the classes I've played (with limited exposures to the Hunter and Bagi), the ones I've enjoyed the most (in no particular order) are the TB Summoner, Concerra (some players have good luck and fun with the "staff" versions of those two...I found them a little more challenging to play), Mage, Half-Bagi, and Dragon Knight.  The Aloken, Azure Knight and Black Wizard were alright too.  I just need more practice with them.  I found the Seguripper a little slow...but that may just be my naivete with that class.  They have a good skill set though.  And I found the lower levels of the Hunter and Bagi to be a bit tedious.  BUT I've seen those classes played at much higher levels, and they can really kick some butt.

I've heard rumors (in the last months of Nexon) that a new class was going to be released, maybe with Act 19?  That would be interesting to get in on the kick off because usually new classes are really OP for the first few months.

Good luck with whatever you go with!

Great wall of information there @PappyPlay

I personally would argue the seg can be a power house, theres a few segs running around who are pretty damn OP, Lashing is the first that comes to mind and I was against a seg in colo yday who bossed it pretty well.

With that said, I'm not fully geared, missing a few key items but Id still argue that case ;)

Good points, @DrunkenKick.  I've yet to get my Meister Skills Books for my Seg, so that likely will make a huge difference.  I personally haven't run into any hi-performance Segs, but I'm sure there are some who can play that class well.  So much depends on one's abilities with any of the characters.

Has anyone else heard about a new character release?  I recall reading about it a few months before Nexon relinquished their command.  I think it was going to be the "female" version of the Aloken.  And I was thinking that it would be coming with Act 19.  Is it in the Korean version of the game yet?

I'm guessing that everything "new" is being held up until they resolve the login and dc issues....except for D-Shop stuff of course.
