@Bambi ( We have a dilemma )

So me and Aizen were arguing about something, specifically debuff stacking.

He was saying that the debuff stacking has nothing to do with abnormal resistance and that it just directly goes to a random number of stacks from the first hit ( I.E Directly going to 3-4 from just 1 hit), while I said the more abnormal resistance you have, the less likely you'll get a lot of stacks on you because you'll have to get hit to trigger each debuff and you reduce the chances of trigging the debuff.

So what it comes down to is, I say it debuffs you per successful hit and the stacks increase that way ( Me ) vs Random stack of number on first hit, doesn't matter how many hits ( Aizen ).

Please shed light on this because I clearly cannot.

    Sadly only dev's know, and they dont share any info.

    You better testing and using statistics than waiting for a reply from them...

    I'm not Bambii (obvious I know :p), but I can still answer it (I guess).

    First let me check if I got this right:

    Your theory: Every debuff stack is calculated separately.
    Ex.
    I got 50% abnormal res, debuff chance is 100%. Everytime I would get debuffed there is 50% chance that the debuff will be added to the stack.

    Aizen's theory: First hit to debuff will give a random stack number.
    Ex.
    I got 50% abnormal res, debuff chance is 100%. Only one time my abnormal res will "trigger" and there is a 50% chance that I got X debuff(s).

    If I understood wrong, stop reading and (maybe) try to explain again.

    It's your theory @MajesticUnicorn from what I have experienced so far. Everytime the target would get debuffed the abnormal res will trigger (each stack is calculated separately). I have never had a debuff stack higher than one after the first hit.

    Ofcourse I could be wrong, don't think so though.

    Thank you very much, you've worded it way better than I would've but yeah, that was essentially what I was trying to ask. I was told to ask ''Bambi'' because apparently he was the creator of some skill simulator thingy and that he would be all knowing of whether what you just said here is how debuffs actually work or not.

    I'm Bambii (obvious I know :p), but I am not sure that I quiet understood your question. To my knowledge, every attack (skill can have up to 10 of them) is calculated separately. An "attack" can consist of buff/debuff, buff/debuff + hit or just pure hit (can be multihit). Check please my skill tables for HB and find skill named "Frenzy dance", where you will see that every attack has different debuff chance, so it must be calculated separately. If you find skill named "Beristo" on same page, you will see that it has 2 attacks, each consisting of multihits (4 hits each not 5 as planned - nerfed long time ago) and debuff. Since it has 2 attacks it can trigger debuffs maximum 2 times by any of 4 hits included in each attack, not 2x4=8 times. I hope this cleared up your dilemma...
