Tournaments

We all know that Nexon hosted tournaments as the "Nations Challenge" last year. 
Now is the time to propose new ideas and improvements and I think tournaments is a valid point to discuss;

Fx. How frequently would tournaments be? - keeping in mind that it should be a realistic amount - and should it be a nation tournaments wide only or should it be clans?

I think a "cool" idea would be resetting the clan leaderboard every month or 2 months and the top 10 would make a "small clan tournament", that would include prizes for everyone in those clans. Having some bigger nation tournaments each 6 months, would be nice aswell, I think how frequent tournaments is arranged is connected to the amount of online players though. If it's relatively low, a yearly one seem more liable.

As far as I've researched BlackShot SEA has tournaments but is not hosted by papayaplay, but something called "PlayOne.asia". They seem to be really comepetitive in that region as they have their own website specifically for e-sports. http://www.esports-blackshot.com/
I've also found the papayaplay hosted ones, which is called "BlackShot Global New Year Tournament", and seems to be of pretty good quality, every match is saved on youtube so you can rewatch them, and seems pretty good organised, it is "hosted" through their forum. papaya play tournament

    Let's fix the game a little bit before any tournaments ;d
    Anyway I would want to see tournament like GNGWC back in the days.

    I didn't mean it as it should be over prioritizing game issues, but to propose something that could make the community better and more inclusive of papaya play, I doubt the first thing they will do is to make a tournament haha. 

    But yeah, definetly GNGWC is way back and such tournaments have somewhat died in the WarRock scene, so it would be nice.

    They need to improve the in game competitive play before hosting external events.

    We also need to have weekend events like back in the day. That bought the community back together and players loved playing with admins.

    This would be a good idea. I suggested this in one of my threads. However, people are right to want to have fixes first, but whose to say you can't do both at the same time. Why not enjoy WR as much as possible while also work on the current bugs. Everyone loves free items

    Exactly, you need to work with the community while trying to fix the community/game and get everybody back together.

    I think cooperation with ESL tournaments could be a good thing when game would get fixes :)

    The game is unplayable atm. so playing a tournament before fixes would be like trying to make love with your girlfriend who is on her period, you love her but it just doesn't feel right.

    But we will see, maybe the game will perform better at the start like it did when WR moved from G1 to Nexon, it was really good at first. New/fresh servers might do just that again.
