Papaya Play/Vertigo Games ban policy?

Foxen95Foxen95 Posts: 4Member Beginner
Good day everyone, first of all I'm not sure on who is gonna be the new WarRock publisher between Papaya Play and Vertigo Games as a recent Nexon news says "Vertigo Games" but looks like we are on another platform now called Papaya Play? I'm actually pretty confused...

Anyways, can I kindly ask how your game account ban policy will be like?
I can say from a personal and third person experience that Nexon power abused a lot during their WarRock time, by banning legit/clean players for no reason with the accuse of being cheaters when that wasn't true at all. I was then unbanned around February 2017 I think? (I don't know the exact date cause I was inactive at that time) after 4 years old with the reason of "changing the ban policy" . I mean they must have realized that "suspected cheater" wasn't a valid reason to ban their customers, lol.

Now I don't wanna sound rude but I can tell you that before giving you any cash me and my friends wanna make sure that we are not getting punished for no reason once again.

With this said I really hope this post goes to the staff of PapayaPlay/Vertigo whatever so that you can sort my doubts out.
Best regards,
Foxen

Regarding the ban policy, I think that's something they must answer directly. However, to clear your doubts with Vertigo Games, they own Papaya Play, which is a platform (a product). Within this platform there are several games that they service. The employees are employees of Vertigo Games.

Hope that clears it up a little :)

I found this in the TOA (Terms of Agreement):

    "3. ACCOUNT

I hope this helps and or answers your question. But if not then I think they will need to comment on this part. :)

@KoRupT that doesn't really talk about the ban policy, but it does mention when an account is lost forever in that final paragraph:
Your User ID may be deactivated if you
do not use it within six months after the date that it was created or
for any continuous period of six months after creation. If you do not
use your User ID for six or more months, it may be removed and deleted
by the Website administrator at their sole discretion. We will use
reasonable efforts to notify you by e-mail before we delete your User
ID. If you advise us within five days of the notice that you want to
keep your User ID active, we will not delete it. If you do not so notify
us, your User ID will be permanently deleted, along with your User ID
    records, ranks and service information.

I think it is absolutely fascinating that someone inactive for 6 months loses their accounts. Given I have 4 accounts, three on irregularly accessed emails... I'm going to have to set up some mail forwarding to a common address so I can respond in time.

@VertigoGames What constitutes as use? Do you just need to log into the website to reset the 6 month countdown, or do you actually need to log into a game with it? It says "Website administrator" so it sounds like website alone would be enough. But at the same time, if you never log into the website and only the game, does that mean you could lose your account? I imagine not, but the wording is ambiguous so I figure I should clarify.

I just thought it might help but I think an admin will be able to go in greater detail about bans and that nature.

@linkinxero fascinating? Really? Losing your longtime Warrock account if you do not log within 6 months? From my point of view this makes no sense at all and this is probably the only game company in the world having this point, have you really got database space problems? lol

The ban policy was enforced and the right people where banned. Nexon knew they where giving this game up so a couple of months before they finish with warrock they un-ban a load of accounts knowing full well people would be happy to have there banned accounts back and start spending again.

    Rape it till the end!

LOL, "the right people were banned" . Dude this is purely a subjective statement, you have no concrete proof to say this. By myself I can say I have no reason to lie as I got my account unbanned as it should be, I'm not trying to convince anyone. The main purpose of this thread is, for the good of Warrock, that Vertigo/Papaya is not gonna do the same horrible mistake(s) that Nexon did.
    Thank you.

    "the right people were banned"

I agree with this to a certain extent as some were banned unfairly, for example if you join a FFA room and they are powerleveling, if a Admin is spectating then you can get banned and thats not fair if you've only just joined that Public room.

v0n, do or anyone know that that was practice for the admins, or is that just speculation on a possibility?

I'm not saying it's impossible - bad policy may allow for such a situation and unfortunate outcome. But I would think that any suspected public FFA powerleveling should be spectated at least 2 games to confirm who is actually doing it.

Besides, I thought Nexon at least figured that it's OK to powerlevel so long as there is back and forth killing going on - it's fine to set up mines and stuff, but it's not OK to just sit there and wait for your friend to get done setting up mines before you walk into them. You're supposed to go kill them ASAP (Then hit the mines already put down.)

Powerleveling in public rooms is very subjective, so I would hope a more conservative approach to identifying powerlevelers would be taken. Room-wide bans in an FFA would be a terrible policy.
