Oh, shiny permanent "Legacy member" title would be really nice. Maybe even with "Sweet Spring" -like stats (30% exp, 5 crit rate, 20% crit damage). Something among those lines.

Well, Requip was BM and RM/WS now I'm shooting for FM. Gonna give the whole mage life a try just cause mages need love too and I love Force Master. :DD
The class I will be plating is souless one, always loved the class animations and hardly anybody plays them.
I'm glad that we all get to start over, that way we can reform the game how we wish-- and once again become the "most friendly" community like in the days of old.
For the legacy rewards i just want my old fashion set combo.... Took forever for me to get in the first place....... Maybe a ring or a stat title sould be nice too
Im not excited to have to spam my skills again for hours for skill mastery... IT TAKES FOREVER ON SOULESS ONE BECAUSE COOLDOWNS-- or have to buy back my skill pages
This list is based on the current KLT episode "Aki city", which is the next major update after the one we are starting off with ("The call of Goddess"). This list is not permanent as people come and vote all the time so you might want to check it every now and again.
But as I already said elsewhere: if your favorite class is 20+ on this list - it does not mean it is bad or that you cannot achieve anything with it. This game is all about time, effort and luck.

I have an innate need for my first character to be the same as it was on OGP from 2008 when I started playing lol, Bard and all. Beyond that I had some... 10 chars in total, so like I'm most likely going to be replaying some of those classes since I've tried almost all of them.
As for the rest of the questions, I don't really have any solid expectations or wants, except that I hope there's a good amount of people playing and that this "fresh start" is a good chance for me to get back into the game with everyone back on even terms. I don't know much of the late game anymore since I primarily played S1/early S2, but just gonna quest along and meet people along the way hopefully~
I am somewhat nostalgic about my crossbow explorer, my very first character. I might give crossbow another go. It is a very unpopular type of Windstalkers (you will never find a single KLT video with crossbow Windstalkers; for a reason) but I can still deliver a punch.

Which class(es) are you going to play? Are you willing to try something new or continue on with the same class you played for all those years? Why or why not?
I'm planning on playing popstar this time around as my first character. I got one of my IRL friends to join with me, and we want to be an obnoxious popstar duo, with one of us as support, and the other one of us as total offence.
Honestly I don't remember my original chara, 'cause I rage quit a good few before I finally committed to my (former ;-;) main Kokorokochou sometime in late 2008. That chara was an archmage/phantom mage.
That said, I've played as popstar up until 198, so this won't be new for me by any means.
I haven't decided whether I'll make another archmage or not. I love it, but I also kind of want to try focusing on some other magical class as my main, like maybe this popstar, or arcmage, which is super shiny and pretty (even if it's not the best out of the magic classes x-x).
In what way do you think Papaya should approach being the new host of this game?
Feed us the good events. Also, providing basic necessities through those events in abundance like pets and enchantment gear and exp/recovery/resurrection pots would be good. Especially the pets, since those tended to be stuck behind some gross rng thing, when I'd rather just pay some set amount to get one right away.
More communication is always good. I really did like the idea of the GA system we used to have where certain people had more direct communication with the GMs.
-I skipped the next two questions 'cause I feel like I talked about them above-
How are you going to approach making this transition from mostly having everything you needed to starting from scratch?
I'm gonna' be playing with an IRL friend, so we'll hopefully be able to support each other. It'll also be fun with her, because she'll be brand new to the game wheeeee.
What are you least/most excited about in starting afresh?
I'm least excited about losing eight and a half years of fashion, tbh. Other than that, meh.
I'm most excited about getting to start anew, especially with someone in real life. I didn't bother to recommend she play 'til now, because I felt like there was too much of a barrier to new players. Since we'll all be new, that barrier (economic inflation, mainly) won't be in place for at least a hot minute.
What "special perks and rewards" would be ideal after making the transfer?
Some fashion set coupons would be the best, maybe even beauty items like expert hair/eye coupons. I'm shallow and want my characters to be pretty, ok?!?
But in all seriousness, maybe like pets or exp items, though I'd understand if that was privileging those who have been at OGP for 9 years like me too much.
What can we as players do to help get the community back to what it used to be?
I guess offering more help, but I feel like that won't be an issue, since we'll all be starting anew. Also doing stuff together more often. I noticed that most of the time I would just solo with the new charas I've made in the past couple of years 'til I hit 190, and then it was weird af. Definitely something I could do on my end is interacting with other players more before then. Networks, ahhh
Which class(es) are you going to play? Are you willing to try something new or continue on with the same class you played for all those years? Why or why not?
Ever since I started the game all those years ago, I have been a Gunslinger Main through and through, but under the circumstances I have decided that I want to have my fresh start with a fresh new class so I will be playing a bard. I have been a DPS player for so long I want to try and have a more supportive role this time around.
In what way do you think Papaya should approach being the new host of this game?
I would say that they shouldn't get too caught up in all of the work. The staff members are players too and its nice to get a chance to talk to the staff members in game as friends instead of our overlords.
What should be their main priority in running the server in an efficient manner?
I think most people would probably say server stability here. We have already been told that the server we will be using is a big upgrade from what we were using over at OGP, nobody wants to be playing on a constantly lagging server.
In what ways do you think they should make changes in opposed to how OGPlanet operated?
I think they need to be REALLY careful on how they handle the cash shop and events. OGP was so obvious in using LaTale as a cash grab more than anything else which was evident through the gamble box's (which i'm notorious among my friends for) and the GM Wishes which were WAYYY too frequent for what it offered. I'm not saying to remove these things, just to be careful on how you handle them.
How are you going to approach making this transition from mostly having everything you needed to starting from scratch?
I'm not going to lie, i'm pretty gutted that everything we worked for isn't going to be coming with us to Papaya. I have been wanting to start fresh on LaTale for a while now anyway, so I welcome Papaya with open arms and hope that we can make LaTale great again.
What are you least/most excited about in starting afresh?
I'm most excited to be starting fresh as a Bard and being a more supportive player rather than DPS which is what i'm used to (Gunslinger Main previously). I'm not looking forward to doing Job Advancement Quests again....
What "special perks and rewards" would be ideal after making the transfer?
I think something that will help the dedicated players stand out a little more would be cool. I would love some Exclusive Fashion or something of the sort (I'm talking truly exclusive, not something that will ever be given out again).
What can we as players do to help get the community back to what it used to be?
Everyone has said this already, but we just need to be more friendly to the new players and each other. It's fine that everyone has their little circles and guilds that they like to stick to, but there is no harm in talking to people we don't know and making new friends.
@gene777 And being super-rare means no problem getting into a party because nobody else wants the same weapon you are after! *cough* bow Ws *cough* Rm *cough* Bm *cough**cough*
"Be nice to people on your way up because you'll meet them on your way down." - Wilson Mizner
I'm going back to being a Savior. As much as I like how flashy magic is, the Savior works far better with how I actually play. I like being able to survive a ton of hits, because I often get bored with the scenery or music while grinding, and go exploring in places that I shouldn't. Or sometimes I'll want a challenge, but not a boss-level challenge, y'know? That and my internet isn't the best, despite my current beast of a rig. I never survived lag as my Sorcerer or Treasure Hunter. XD
I don't mind starting over again at all. And if they translate it properly, I'll be psyched about playing through the story again. The quest to become a Savior was really interesting, from what I could manage to understand of it. The main story, too. Too bad the translation completely fell apart around the water dragon part, from what I remember. Unlike some, I was really into it. Getting to the next part of the story was my main motivation to grind. That, and to see the next area and hear its music.
The only thing I really care about is getting my Brownie back. So yeah, a reward related to that would be neat. Or more inventory space. I wish I could collect one of every doll, or at least the dolls I like the most. I don't know why; I just want to.
Community-wise? I'll be honest: I wasn't really part of the community. I'm a 100% solo player, for a number of reasons. I guess I can just be a chill presence on the forums. Despite however long I've been playing this game on and off, I know nothing of min-maxing or ping or any of that. But I can at least be pleasant. ...If long-winded. :P
>Which class(es) are you going to play? Are you willing to try something new or continue on with the same class you played for all those years? Why or why not?
Going with a new class this time around - Terror Knight. I loved spear hero back on OGP, but it felt underwhelming at times and I wouldn't exactly say I was doing poorly in terms of my power, either. This time around I'm going terror knight because I think they're a bit more tanky, but more importantly, they look bad ass, and I'm a fan of that.
>In what way do you think Papaya should approach being the new host of this game?
It's hard to say. A lot of the things I want to suggest would impact profit margins, and that is not very helpful for the game in the state that it's going to be in when the relaunch comes. I think they should try and be as reasonable as they can be when it comes to the cash shop affecting the game though. OGP was brutally p2w at times. Then again, people are willing to pay, so it's probably just objectively wrong from a business standpoint.
>What should be their main priority in running the server in an efficient manner?
I honestly couldn't tell you. I don't know anything about networking. Make it not laggy? yeah, make it not laggy.
>In what ways do you think they should make changes in opposed to how OGPlanet operated?
Don't exploit the player base would be an excellent start. Get some GM's that actually play the game they're GM's of, and I mean REALLY play. Like people who are as passionate as us. I don't want some idiot who doesn't know anything about the game being a GM.
>How are you going to approach making this transition from mostly having everything you needed to starting from scratch?
I'm gonna complain a lot but keep playing anyways, Basically, the exact same way I came up during OGP LOL. "This trucking game is so bad, I hate it" *plays for 7 hours*
>What are you least/most excited about in starting afresh?
"afresh"? is that a real word? Whatever. I'm not looking forward to it because I know exactly the depth of what I lost, things purely decided by chance and RNG, and things purely decided by huge chunks of time invested. I do understand that there are people that lost far more than I had though, and it's a mild consolation that I jumped ship on the game a good while before it shut down so that I didn't lose more (around the time they moved the server back to the west coast, I quit).
Still, I'm mildly excited to start again. LT has an atmosphere that's unlike any MMO out there. The art style is cute and has the capacity to be awesome as hell when it needs to, and the sound track is among some of the greatest that I've ever heard from ANY game. The game play can become stale, and it's not really super complex, but it's enjoyable for all the other aspects and for those reasons I'm excited to start again with a new class I've always wanted to try, Terror Knight. It also helps that my ping will actually be good again. EAST COASTERS WHERE YOU AT?!
>What "special perks and rewards" would be ideal after making the transfer?

That's what I'd REALLY want if I could have anything. That's also pretty unlikely though.
>What can we as players do to help get the community back to what it used to be?
Support the game, and create a good environment that's friendly to new players and free of (unreasonable) negativity. That shouldn't be that hard, I know a lot of you helped me when I was on my way up on OGP after I returned to my account that I hadn't touched since season 2's release.
I need a Legacy or Legacy Member Title in gold with some stats like 30% crit damage and 25% defense/attack/magic increase(basically should depend on the class) or at least some cool gear with those effects that i love so much. (Yes, I was one of those people who had a valkyrie sword since it had that sexy red light effect. I'm a fiend for weapon effects. Don't judge me). Also I might go down either the demigod or dragoon class paths
1. I'm going with the knight class this time! As a kid/preteen who played many MMOs out of complete boredom. I've always gone with the Warrior class because of the high attack. Looking at the Knight class now, it honestly looks a lot more fun and cool than the warrior class.
2. They should keep what isn't needed to be fixed and fix what needs fixing. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. If it is, well you know. I'm gonna look at "starting from scratch" as a new opportunity to do things right that I haven't done when I first played.
3. I'm really excited about starting over and meeting new people, especially people from the forum. Can't say what I'm least excited about cause I'm not sure. I suppose losing my cool looking character?
4. They should give some title or gear that let's us blast through certain parts of the game before it becomes useless.
5. Maybe help those new to the game and help everyone go back to where they once were?
Which class(es) are you going to play? Are you willing to try something new or continue on with the same class you played for all those years? Why or why not?
I dunno, I'm lazy. So I think I'll just stick to my Gunslinger route and call it a day. I like being able to shoot things from a range. Also, back in the Closed Beta days, I was far too obsessed with trying to rack up all the combos I could. Shamefully, I still kind of am. Luckily, we have all these good character slots to play around with. If leveling is easier, then we'll be good.
In what way do you think Papaya should approach being the new host of this game?
Just maintain a friendly approachable air. Don't evolve into some kind of hivemind conglomerate, you know? I think a fair group of individuals who are willing to make the transition to a new company seamless would be fantastic and what most of would need to begin with. Because I know that many of us are starting over from scratch, which is an exhilarating thought. As someone who has done that many times through changing clients nor the different wipes, I would just enjoy a helpful hand not trying to alienate anyone.
What should be their main priority in running the server in an efficient manner?
Make it seamless...or as close as humanely possible. Take care of us. Actually play the game with us. That'd be great. Also, smite a dude now and again. :)
That smiting thing is a joke. Plsdon'tdothat. Also, balance RNG / RN JESUS for us. Many of times, I'd flip my collective mind when I was teased by the unholy one. I mean, don't make it easy, but plshelp.
In what ways do you think they should make changes in opposed to how OGPlanet operated?
How are you going to approach making this transition from mostly having everything you needed to starting from scratch?
Give us the in-game tools to make the grinding process a little easier. For many of us, it was a fun (by fun, I mean, sometimes mind-numbing) experience to get to the higher level brackets. OGP used to the coolest dudes around...then they started getting the need to feed on our wallets. Don't do that.
Oh yeah, listen to the people. Everything in this thread is good stuff. GaleWeaver a good few posts higher made a whole list of the "SWEET JESUS, YOU'VE BEEN PLAYING THIS GAME FOR HOW LONG?" items Legacy people should get. Now, the deep down part in me is like "yes, this", but if something like is going to occur. Try to find a way to cater to the new people, because there are some Papaya folks and some people outside in general taking a chance of LaTale.
What are you least/most excited about in starting afresh?
The thing was that I had to leave the game for a good year, thanks to college. I came back and everything had these bells and whistles. I came from the early days of the Closed and Open beta and the early days of "sweet lawd, this grinding needs to go". It was a huge community game. Everyone was having their giggles over the new game and pushing on threw. When I came back, things didn't feel the same. I can't say it's because of the playerbase, because MMOs are like that. Yet, I think the early game aspects that emulate the "Year One" experience will be the best part about it. Also, it's lowkey a race.
Also, switching to a new company who is instantly bringing the next expansion and their own ideas is exciting.
What "special perks and rewards" would be ideal after making the transfer?
Make it easier to grind, some flashy gear, and a lot more inventory slots and I'll dub thee gods.
What can we as players do to help get the community back to what it used to be?
Make some groups that involve the new players and just keep the fun nature of the forums, the community, and the game rolling. It's not entirely hard. I think it's dependent on the people in the community to really bring some new light to everything.
I can't really tell you. I'm just the peep that makes the biscuits.
