If I may add, some of those may also need a little work with a few updates considering that some stuff have changed and some of the guides didn't benefit of any of it. Starting with this one, by our friend oyer...
...which is a great and very useful guide, yet it needs some more "polishing". I'm not sure how to deal with the LQ Automaton however.
Still, great advise there.
---
Edit : Alright, I managed to save quite a chunk of the Dungeon guides, as well as of the whole LQ Automaton and several guides - among them - from oyer about Pet Potentiels and Mutants or the Legend Skill quest guide by Pickamold. What remains may be the job guides, I'll save those for a little later, but I'm fairly sure somebody already did the dirty job.
Nice job. If you managed to salvage the LQ Automation Project I'm sure we'll find some players willing to write new class guides. I doubt things will be too different even after the rebalance.
OGP Latale: July 28th, 2009 - Lv 202 Gunslinger, cube4
Yes, it has been nearly a year+ that Queet did stop updating on the Automaton. And for the question, I guess this is the LV progression guide made by ValidityLT, then yes. I did save it. http://archive.is/M9NBD
The thing is I quite not satisfied with the process I'm doing right now because it is under the format of saving via archive.is and I managed to do it for something like 31 guides, the entirety of the LQ Automaton and also spreadsheets done by Picklemold. The file I made for the compilation is in fact a .doc compiling the guide threads with the title of each guides, while crediting their authors name and the guide in question under a archive.is web-adress.
I consider doing several .doc files for each guides (still crediting their original authors as it is the least one can do) also because a lot of these guides are using YouTube videos. Now, what I'm regretting a bit is that I didn't find exactly a guide for each class, but this won't be a major problem. Also, another thing to mention is the issue of the methology with how the LQ Automaton was build nor it had been disclosed, not that I'll ever find out about it anyway nor it is under my field of expertise, far from it...
A quick update on saving guides : the 1st round of archiving and creating files of the saved guides, both on .doc and .odt format) has been finished. I'm going for a 2nd round for the week on my free time (about 2 hours per day until the weekend, when I won't be free), as well as another riund of visiting the forums to fish something that might be useful (such as the progression for fourth job for certain quests that are truely annoying). I'm thinking on going creating a file for compiling useful sites related to the game.
Everything will be ready before this weekend, I waaaay overestimated the time I would take to take care of the presentation and to compress the pictures in the guides, to reduce their size. The downside is that I had to reduce the size of the pictures and the quality is a bit blurry but we're not losing that much - since the goal is not that much to cram everything but to "offer a model".
So, this is the general look for each format (ignore the .odt file - this is just an exemple)
In the guide section
The total so far is 42 guides, the larger file in this whole section will be the "Odin, Bollywood & Roads by Edwak" guide which is a little over 8400 Ko. A last thing I want to disclose is the software I used : it was LibreOffice.
I will take the last couple of days to review EVERYTHING, although there will be little to no modifications (that said no modifications have been made on the integrality of the text, some pictures will be missing because it messed with the overall presentation of one guide in particular). Until I evaluate that everything is presentable, well...it will have a go.
I am definitely OK with this, the more people got the good guides, that contains more or less relevant informations to our current version. PDFs and ODTs are widely used as format, so that's all good and I consider that PDFs are more likely to be used for the constructions of the future guides here than the format I just used.
To read the files, you'll need either OpenOffice or LibreOffice.
So here is the full "spoilers" of what you will find in the second link :
Guides section
Areas & Dungeons 3 folders that includes 2 that will have the complete maps for Magic Library and TAID Vintor 17 guides
Features, Meta & Etiquette 6 guides plus a spreadsheet relative to Mobs Luck and Knockback. It will also cover part of technicalities. WARNING : the guide concerning the auction house is just a skeleton of the original guide since the pictures are non longer existant.
Jobs 10 guides, of which one of those - the Black Anima Guide made by GrandPaA in the OGP forums - is in a folder due to difficulties encountered with one picture that was too large to format.
Mutation Hunting Grounds 2 guides per say and one tool that might be interesting to be put to use, a Mutant Spawn Time Tracker.
Progression - Grinding, Armour & LV 4 guides per say, 1 list of the MrApo - former [GA]Ryuch - video series called "Zero to Hero : A beginner's guide", 2 spreadsheets relative to the Genesis set and the "Destruction" set (another name for Aspect of Dissolution and Ascension). And for more practicality, I segmented a guide made by ValidityLT called "Comprehensive Guide to Gear Progression" to level segments, as the whole guide is massive.
The art of Stacking & Utilities My personnal favorite - it contains 3 guides and I want to stress it. The guide made by Tanukiyasha, I want to see more of it concerning stacking offensive and defensive stats. It also comes with a spreadsheet that gives the range of value of the Pet Potentials.
LQ Automaton
What else to say? It comes with the presentation from the original thread, the published database in form of spreadsheets (WARNING : in .ods format, all of these), the appendix and another file that contains the archive.is links of the original thread.
Picklemold Spreadsheets
Definitely worth having a look. All of those have been updated since the Demigod patch - so those may be subject to modification in a very next future.
---
I hope you all will appreciate it. A last thing I want to stress for one last time, is - don't take it as a definitive or these guides for an end by themselves. Those needs modifications - but if you feel that some of those have been poorly edited by yours truly - I will take full responsability and will accept criticism, and - not to turn it into a complete negative spiral - feedback.
I somehow hope re-editing will be a thing here and that would be part of the participative aspect for LaTale. Also, please consider that some of the guides might be some kind of rough draft or model in order to create the new ones.
That being said - I wish to all of you an happy Re-LaTaling by June 28th and I hope to see you there with my new line-up.
I would not blame you for poor editing or rough model drafts or anything. The request was to pull the guides out of the black hole of nothingness OGP LT is about to become along with the forums and you managed to complete it. You have my thanks.
"Be nice to people on your way up because you'll meet them on your way down." - Wilson Mizner
I made a guide a while ago for new players that turn level 200+ for grinding. It didn't get a lot of attention due to it being on steam and not on ogps forums. Here is the link.
I don't know if it is good enough for new players to understand but it gives the basics of where to grind and what is popular and how to get to these places without using warps

I think this will be much appreciated.
As for an update on the current situation

And now, the moment guys...
For the Archive.is links file only
For the integrity of the files (which includes the archive.is one) with all the guides, the LQ Automaton and the spreadsheets.
To read the files, you'll need either OpenOffice or LibreOffice.
