I NEED the classes to be less latency based. PLEASE FIX. I will love this game like a child and never leave it then. .-. Although I'll probably be doing that anyway, just fix the damn latency.
Coming from some Australian person halfway across the world. q-q
@mewnami The latency is because of your location. You must have some pretty high ping and that, is something that can only be tampered with so much. IF you really want to lower your ping. I suggest investing in a VPN. Just make sure that VPNs aren't against Papaya's Terms of Services!
I know it is unlikely to happen because of hacking and leaking of information they don't want us to have so I'm not getting my hopes up.
As for VPNs, those in my experience are only helpful when you don't have the best route to the server and one of their servers you have to initially connect to is close to you. Otherwise it will likely add latency. I think the one I did a trial of "What The Fast" was pretty good but past the trial it becomes a pay service.
As for things I'd like to keep. I would definitely keep the NPC super puzzle option. I don't think it would change but it's one thing I really appreciate. It was the biggest reason I switched to Aeria back in the day because they had them from the start unlike OGP which still lagged in making the change.
Not to be a party pooper, cause I'd really like to have the game client-based too, but from a technical standpoint it wouldn't be reasonable, and only half of that is hacking issues. A client based system would, ultimately, require more internet traffic, because each client would need to synchronize information, like player info and damage dealt, with the server so it can echo that data to other clients. Monsters in the random fields would have six or more competing clients each claiming they're standing in a different position, and the server would need to decide where they are. In a boss battle, a client that lags out could claim that the boss monster has a lot higher health left than it should, and what does the server do when the client tells it that?
I'm all for the super puzzles being NPCable, but now that you brought up the idea, how are we going to pay for them? I admit it's been a while, but last I checked OGP kaboshed all of the ely making methods I knew about, and with the puzzles costing 3.5 mill each (I think) that's a fairly hefty total sum when you're trying to make your eighteenth dynasty weapon.

If memory servers right some end-game dungeons (namely Mysterious Hall and Devil's Canyon) reward chests would drop the more loot the more people there were in the treasure room. This is why people would often call for a free Myst Hall exp leech. 4 party members = x4 loot for the host.
There, actually, is a reason why weapon skins are absent in this game: it is a very tedious and time-consuming job to draw hundreds upon hundreds of weapon sprites. Unless you want plain and basic re-coloring.
"Be nice to people on your way up because you'll meet them on your way down." - Wilson Mizner
Not so fast. Weapons only have three to four sprites, roughly the same as any piece of armor. It would be as much work for the designers as it would be to make any other fashion item. The real intensive stuff is monsters, hence why they are reused so much.
Second, and less work on the developers parts, they could allow you to use other legitimate weapons as skins.

Ahh, 2 other people had called for it so I thought the scaling drops I thought existed was a rumor. the last time i was heavily active in the game was when Odin was endgame content. I don't recall if that scaling was around then or if i just wasn't aware.
Well what I actually meant was changing the game mechanics so that high latency and ping etc don't have as much of a crippling effect. Surely there's a way to change how it affects tje game? x-x It's so frustrating not being able to play a class because it would be way too limited to be useful at all.
To my knowledge it does apply only to these two dungeons I mentioned above. Maybe Synagogue will share this system too, thus actively promoting 8-players parties.
I am not sure about other end-game dungeons such as Palace, Hidden Cave and Manastone Lab. They seem to share standard drop system.

If I had things to add or change to the game, it would be the early game. Primarily, the (S) gear.
These are way too powerful for early game : just by using a full set, you can grind from 10 to 50, then 50 to 80/100, 100 to 140, and 140 to 180/190 faster than you could say "coliseum gear was overpowered".
Instances are useless because of them : Invoke/Hyunmu/Sphinx gear? Why should you, (S) gear has 10 times the stats. Coli gear? Close, but no cigar. Advanced Coli Gear? Eh, only the candy dagger holds up!
This results in a "Instances are useless until 190+" mindset, which leads to a "I DON'T HAVE CARDS/CODEXGIhoiHGNOIZEHNGOIS" situation, which then forces the player to get back to every useless dungeon he didn't farm for.
How could we fix that, you ask? Simple, but not so simple.
Buff instances weapons, lower by a LOT or REMOVE (S) gear drops, and make them craftable with special items dropped in certain areas, + the instance gear of that level.
For example : For a level 25 (S) Short Sword, you'd have to go to Temple of Pluton and Mountain Area, and drop some items there. With that, you'll need to get Invoke's Short Sword (+0) to craft the whole and tadaa, a powerful gear you WORKED for.
"Great, more useless grinding that won't change anything", you might say. Yes, and no.
Grinding is unfortunately a core part of any MMO : you want the best gear? You farm for it. Wanna get rich? You farm for it. Wanna get strong? You keep playing until you git gud. So yeah, grinding would still be there.
But in this case, this nerfs an overpowered set by a lot, while addressing big problems in LaTale nowadays : codex/card farming, as well as useless areas in Jiendia because eh! We've got our own EXP farming heaven, why should we spend time there? Oh, and early partying issues because early instances would be back in shape!
For codex/card farming : it's really easy actually. You get to places you wouldn't have with EXP grinding with (S) Gear normally, you kill monsters that drop cards and codex items while farming for your gear. Tadaa.
For useless zones in Jiendia : honestly. Is there a single useful zone in Jiendia to be in at level 20+ (except Realm Between Time, Warehouse/Botanical/WP/etc..., and the shard/gem farming zones)? Nah, thought so. Unless you're "playing LaTale wrong" (which is, I know, a stupid concept), you're doing Coli then you go right in the small spot made for you to grind in from level 40 to 200. Then after that it's bye bye Jiendia, welcome Obscuras.
Anyways, that's one of many ideas I'd want to see in this game. (Stupid earlygame streamlining thought process, bring back the (Old) Weapons and buff them instead of removing them for stupidly overpowered gear!)
Hakusen : Judgment 200 (Still mad about that 198 > 197 rollback though.) KisekiKuroi : BA 189 Makimoke : Will be BM 200 / SD 140 at end of event!
If you need help or want to talk, I'll be glad to oblige.
Most end game dungeons have standard drop. Devil's Canyon had scaled drop. As did mysterious hall. Most likely because they are material based instead of item based. So in material based dungeons. You have fair loot. Which is why people would give free mysterious hall leeches to low levels and stay no loot. They would take advantage of the loot table and collect everyone's loot. The more people, the more loot, the faster you could make those gems. I'm pretty sure synagogue is material based. So it will probably have scaled looting.
I would love to see the mines back: decomposing was a good idea on the paper, not so much in game when you have to decide if you want either materials (for yourself) or money. Another method that we lost is materials boxes from either guild crops or monster tower.
Also bring the [Old items] back atleast for the time of 1 patch or two. Klt got them and we'll need some of them (Kraken stockings or Engineer Goblin King Earrings for exemple).
And a final thought about savior (this is on a personal level scale), Attack aura that lower defense is a nonsense to begin with; and Perfect shield's nerf still bothers me (i'd understand if it was specific for pvp, not for pve).
I agree with Cyrilic, most MMOs have an item sort button, I always wondered why we didn't and I'm sure it's not that hard to implement. I almost never bother organizing my inventory but when it gets messy, it takes a good amount of time to sort everything manually. Especially when you can expand it more.
* I thought about this idea a while back, but why not have Expert Hair that we can change color? I know it's just for looks but it could look nice. Since most seem to be running around with the same hair/eye. Like an Expert Hair Color Coupon. Or maybe even bring in a whole hue circle for all hairstyles and get creative.
* Make login events with useful/fun items and make it so that we only have to login for a small period of time. KLT already has a feature where you don't need to login for an hour (it's much less, I forgot how long). Since we're starting from scratch, maybe the first login event can have items that could help us level up, such as primes, starter pets, pots, etc? Just an idea.
* Forest mines and Crystal mines- man i miss these areas. I think it would be nice if they brought them back and implement shards so they can be mined that way. I noticed that some shards were scarce, and the only other place you can find them is the dreaded marketplace, which was usually overpriced. P.S This would also make the mining bot/skill useful again!
* A few years ago, OGPlanet would change up the iris gifts here and maybe even add a surprise-like that lovely riceball hat (I'm going to miss that thing). A few months ago when I came back I noticed that the prizes were very similar every month, so a change in prizes or maybe even implement an exclusive item/fashion every month would be nice every now and then.
* Bankable pets. I know it's been said before, but I hope it's still possible to have this implemented.
* I'm not sure what would happen with the exclusive sets that a minority of the community had, but I think that class sets (CM, Wanderer, Demigod set) should be implemented into Gema like the others, maybe even rotate them in ladeck? Also those sets that were from old OLD events (Honey Pig, Cobra Costume, Valentine, Bubblegum Ice cream, etc) we would love to have them in events again!
That's all I could really think of for now. I really think that everyone here has good ideas and I hope the team considers.
@benjd63 the whole decomp. this is too rooted into the game at this point and be honest. it helps. Yes sometimes it means compromising profit for shards, but more times than not. The shards are worth the it over the items you would be selling. For your second point. I agree. I would love to see some of the old items back because of how convenient they were (i.e kraken stockings). Those would be nice to have back. As for your last. I cant really comment, i haven't used a knight class to the point where those really affected me.
@Mochi i love your post. The expert hair color change would be amazing. Adding additional looks for everyone to become even more unique. As for the bankable pets, that would be interesting to have implemented for sure. haha. And the CM, wanderer and demigod sets... I wish they used the actual Force Master set that EXIST. But the demigod set, winning the demigod set didn't give an amazing feeling. 1 because its not the demigod armour we see in all the demigod pictures, its the avenger armour. so it that was bitter sweet. I'm pretty sure the wanderer one was correct. But yes, i digress. It would be great to have them all available. They cant be rewon in level up events and they have no stats. Hiding them away at this point for the sake that they are "rare" seems a bit asinine to me.
Oh God, the fashion sets OGP left under the lock and key for absolutely no sensible reason. "You can only get this STATLESS FASHION SET if you win the level up event. Furthermore, we will never re-release it again so there is absolutely no way you can ever get this FASHION outside the event. Period." This is infuriating. This is an outrage. This is the sin I could have never forgiven them. Remind me, when was the last time this happened on KLT or JLT?
Not to mention the fact they never released Force Master set, which looks absolutely fantastic, and "true" Demigod set. As well as A TON of other fashion items that were lying in the game files for years!
I hope this company will not be plagued with this kind of nonsense. All players, no matter their level and class, must have direct access to fashion clothes (with or without stats), hair coupons, eye coupons, etc.
"Be nice to people on your way up because you'll meet them on your way down." - Wilson Mizner
Might i add that included with the class fashion i would like to see hair options to go along with them, i really like the Swordian look in particular or even Highlander would be amazing to. Though Phantom mage set would quite possibly make me faint if we got that just saying.
OR! How about this- They add the class fashion to the level up boxes. When you get to level 200 with a specific class. You get that class' set box and have to exchange it at Gema. @aegelweard. @anizone1. Giving people incentive to play other classes they normally wouldn't and making the fashion widely available at the cost of playing the game instead of unnecessary level up events.
Aside from the typical monthly login type event it would be nice to have a longer term reward event. Accumulative so you don't have to be on everyday. In this case it might be nice to have items that don't effect game progress to much and are just for show like a special effect ring such as the LaTale Life one after 365 days logged in.
Pets: Cube4wizard mentioned this earlier, and I agree that power creep aspect of the pets should be removed. Pets in my opinion should mainly be for convenience (i.e. auto potting and looting) and cosmetic purposes.
Enhancement system: Personally I would like to see the destroy the equipment aspect of enhancing be removed from the game. Nothing is more tilting, at least for me, than seeing your equipment just go boom.
Cash shop Items like Abio Cokes and Resurrection items be available in game: I would like to see these removed from the cash shop, and be made available to purchase in game through NPC shops at a reasonable price.
Ely Skills: Another point I agree with Cube4wizard is the changes to the Ely skills.

Is Synagogue really a material-based dungeon? From what I know its boss drops both - materials and accessories. I might be mistaken though.
