New guild for Legacy players

We're going to try and start fresh here on the new server, however if you're like some of us, you're going to want to push to 235 as quick as you possibly can.

So we're starting a guild for players that have the legacy tag tied to them. (to start out) That way, we can use our knowledge of the game to go as fast or as hard as we want to, or even take our times with it. We're going to try and have a group for each.

We have a dedicated Discord set up for the guild, and some other games that we play.

We're hosting polls so people can have a voice in their guild name and type even!

Regular crops and everything else you'd expect from a guild.

This is just a brief overview of what we're looking to offer people, if you have any questions feel free to ask!

While I do respect your desire to surround yourself with old-term players that know this game inside out I think what you are calling for might be described as "segregation".

I can already see a closed-state society of veteran players who progress amazingly fast, have no other goal but to get highest level and best gear and do not care about anybody and anything else.

I might be totally wrong but that is how it looks to me.

@Aegelweard has a point.. The way you described that is the exact issue we had with ogplanet LT. Nobody wanted to give new players the time of day. Plus, a lot of "Legacy" players seem to already be falling back into their own little groups from ogplanet. I hope you find people willing enough to join you and not rejoining their friends. But you must also accept the new players or else we will never grow as a community. Good luck.

That's really not what we're trying to do. It's really hard to purpose what we're actually trying to do without coming off as "some elitist trash"

Like I said in the start up there, the plan is to start out as a legacy guild. And I have no objections to helping new people from the beginning, we just won't have them in the guild right away. And honestly I don't know how long "starting out" is even going to last for. Could be a month, could be five minutes, I really don't know.

My honest to god only goal with this guild, is to give people the option to play in a legacy guild if they wanted to play in something like that.

As we don't even know what the legacy tag will look like yet, this might be a really dumb thing anyways. It might not even show on your character in game, and might be something that shows on the forums, they really haven't said much besides "an account legacy tag" so who really knows.

Yeah I've been around for a while. too long of a while some might say. ;D

But in all seriousness, Yeah I got some different plans for the guild purposed, and I'm really just gauging interest at the moment, and if it's there cool, if it's not then, if we even go about making a guild it'll probably take a different form.

It's all good, if you want in just to kind of lurk around. Just let me know, so far we're sitting at about 5 members (potentially) and they all range from "I'm hitting 235 the first week", to "I'm for sure downloading it and getting a name, but idk if I'm actually playing." So the options to play casually are there if you want them.

I'd also say more than anything, what I'd probably say this guild is about. is creating a place where you know people already, like I know Trixx, and I'm PRETTY darn sure I remember Augustine (I wanna say TK or PSI?) as well. To just have a place where everyone is already on good terms and we can all just destroy this game together all over again.

Is the Guild leader gonna be apart of this? I was pretty high in the chain of StarOcean for a while before I quit last year. "Misla-Duelist lvl 19x and kid2hero- Blader (staying 2nd class for the lulz) lvl 19x. I had others but those were the only 2 I was actually social with.

But yea, I would possibly like to join in on this. Im planning on taking 3 days off in a row from work to play and grind up. Buying "astros" or whatever they'll be called here so I could get xp pots or just for pets. Whatever they got that I want.

I have a legacy account, but I'd just started LaTale when it switched. :o I wonder where I fit in. Because, I know some stuff up to about 180..., but there's still a LOT I don't know: crafting, dungeons, gearing, (only tried out one class...and I don't want to play it again lol), etc... Hmm. I'm sorta new & sorta old, I guess. :'D I would like some friends to start with, though. o/

@kittso Don't be afraid to join us! Most of us are "legacy" as in we have played the game before. We're not too hung up over the legacy title. We would welcome you even if you were brand spanking new. We have plenty of members that are more than willing to teach and help out. I for one am one of the players who will learn as we play since I'm not familiar with most of the new content.
