Is there anything you're hoping they will change when it comes to LaTale ?

I believe this the third time I am seeing a thread like this.

But okay, here are my thoughts:

    a) Open communication between the players and the GMs

    b) Sensible prices on gamble boxes and no low-quality rewards in them

    c) FashionShop bursting with pets, fashion clothes, syrup packages, potions of resurrection, etc. In other words: direct and easy access to necessities.

    d) Fast and reliable server with wide and stable broadband that would minimize lag and latency issues for the players

    e) GMs actively participating in in-game life, i.e hosting lots of events (both random and scheduled) and contests

    f) On-line time required for log-in event qualification decreased to 10 minutes

    g) Mutant re-spawns bond to a set time period (e.g spawns at 10:00am, automatically dies at 10:59; drops no loot if killed by timer) rather than 1 hour after being killed

i agree with @aegelweard with A - G i would like to add a constant daily log-in tracker or something of that nature to get some necessities and a reduction to the cost of some things due to there is no ely in circulation.

I would like some sort of filter system for gear or maybe other stuff. There's an spot on the right of all the tabs in inventory window where you could add a drop down menu to sort stuff by dura, ely worth, etc.

I hope they change upgrade rates on late game equipment to be reasonable. Odin and Dynasty weapons shouldn't be this ridiculous wall of RNG, they aren't even the best gear you can get your hands on, and there's already 3 layers of RNG associated with the weapons themselves (Getting a good base, then getting good enchantments, and finally getting more fodders for the upgrade). That's not even factoring in the armor and stuff. It's just silly and it makes people not want to play.  Nobody enjoys spending weeks and weeks farming for one singular upgrade that's barely even noticeable.

@GaleWeaver If it is "barely even noticeable" - why would you bother?

But who am I kidding. I fully agree with you. I have known a guy who spent at least a month, maybe two, doing Dynasty daily to upgrade his dagger from +3 to +4. Such low upgrade rates are unreasonable.

I would understand them keeping such low upgrade rates on Elrian and Palace stuff because, as of time I am writing this post, they are truly end-game gears. Genesis and Dynasty are not.

@Aegelweard Barely even noticeable from upgrade to upgrade is what I meant. The difference between the base weapon and the +4 is decent and that's the reason to bother upgrading aside from just min maxing in general which kind of mandatory in this game if you want to tackle harder and harder dungeons.

Enchanting success rates please please (Pretty please). Also agreed, more stuff in the fashion shop!  More pets ect. GM interaction!  Just overall stuff to make sure the economy stays reasonable :).

@Aegalweard, @GaleWeaver You both might already know this, but something to get past the annoying upgrade rates of end game gear was stack a lot enchant % increasing things during enchant events. Stacking a good amount of this stuff easily puts an item at a 15%~20%+ success rate. Obviously we won't have access to much of that stuff when the game launches, but it at least made getting Tsar and dyn +4 fairly quick for me.

    @Rubatin

Enchant boosters I can recall from my memory right now: "Winter warrior" unique title (+3), Advanced Enchant Remedy (+4), HootHoot (+1), enchant event (+5). Going from +2 to +3 and +3 to +4 is 1% base chance (not taking into account 0~+2 because those are easy enough).

    1 + 3 +4 + 1 +5 = 14% at best.

Maybe there are things I am missing?

P.S. Did you get to +4 Tsar? I have always been wondering how in the world people were doing that given the fact you need a Tsar fodder to upgrade your Tsar to +1~+4.

@Rubatin yeah I was aware, I took advantage of that when I was upgrading mutants. The problem is that it's usually a waste of a remedy unless you either save up a ton of fodders (which is still taking forever to upgrade your stuff because you have to collect enough fodders to use the full time) or you just so happen to have some other gear you need to enchant. +2 from ignate title, +4 from adv. remedy, and +2 from mask are also the most immediately accessible and they kinda cost a fair bit of Ely. Even stacking as much enchant rate as you can, the odds aren't exactly in your favor without some serious luck.

They aren't supposed to be in your favor. If they were, they might as well keep them 100%. I get its annoying and frustrating but that's just apart of the game sadly. It's designed to keep us busy so we don't advance too quick. Unless we have the additional help from said items. Personally i never upgraded to +4 tsar because it never really seemed worth the time and effort. Of course it is, but it wasn't important on my agenda. As for weapons. I think yes, the current rates should be increased for older items by at least 10%. That way people won't need to feel like they have to get that +4 and waste millions of ely in the process. But to be fair. But if anything has to change.... anything... For the love of all that is holy... Change hidden cave.. make it worth it.. 0 badges for 2 FULL runs.. is ridiculous and discouraging. That's my input~

@AugustineVii It doesn't NEED to be a part of the game though. Games are supposed to be enjoyable, not annoying and frustrating. Nobody enjoys hitting a wall where they feel like they can't improve. It's exactly like you said, it's designed "to keep us busy" aka artificially inflate the amount of time we have to spend on certain things. It's completely arbitrary, especially with so many other factors that are already limiting how quickly you can progress besides the ridiculously steep rng associated with the aforementioned upgrades.

It's not that i don't agree with you. But we can't be upset with how the game is set up. I've played better games, and i've also played ones less forgiving. It's never fun to blow up your +6 vitas lab stone (yes.. i did that) or 6 agasura 5th slot gems 1 or 2 enchants away from being duo or trio'd (did that also). But I like the challenge and i'm sure plenty of others do as well. I do agree with you, yes the fact rng is so unforgiving is ridiculous and annoying. But it's really just something we have to accept until they change it. Sometimes its actually pretty fun to test your luck (the case of my +6 vitas lol) and sometimes it isn't (the agasura gems). But yeah........... upgrade rates could be improved a bit haha.

THE GEM CRAFTING. OH GOD PLEASE FIX THE GEM CRAFTING, NO MORE.

In all seriousness, cash shop gems needing cash shop hammers to upgrade at an 80% success rate 10 times in a row for a basic enchant is beyond dumb, please do not do this...

@Aegelweard I always assumed base rates for Dynasty and Palace geard were near 5% success rate. I could be wrong, but I highly doubt the base success rate is 1% Then you have ignate +2 mask +2 remedy +4 event +5
    5+5+4+2+2
    =18%
    20% with hoot and a +3 title.
Again, could be wrong but that's just how I assume it to be. Also no, I only got Tsar +0 sorry if I worded that poorly.
@Galeweaver Yeah, I see the issues with the rates, and would love to see it change. Dynasty especially, the drop rates on the gear itself can prevent someone from getting a weapon for days, and the upgrade rate tagged onto this makes lab feel easier, putting aside the ely cost of lab.

@Aegelweard where on god's green earth did you get a 1% base chance lol...

dyna (edit: and palace+cave badges) is 7% at +0 down to 4% at +3
lab is 10% at +0 down to 5% at +5
  • AegelweardAegelweard Posts: 351Member Intermediate
    @Moonternity

Well, my memory told me everything post-Genesis was 7-4-1-1 and that is why I assumed +3 and beyond would be 1%.

See, sometimes it is good to be wrong.

Coliseum was a big step in the right direction for strong gear that can be acquired just by playing the game, but I have no idea if I could have reasonably afforded the gear without spending the amount of money I did back then.

Would be awesome if the fashion shop focused more on cosmetics, while still having some utility items like Warp Crystal/Inventory Bags/Character Slots and the like locked behind a paygate.

Obviously there's a balance to strike here, they gotta be able to financially sustain the game since it's f2p!

I don't know how accurate these gripes are now, I just got back from a 2 year break, haha!
