Bladers and Ping

 Alright i clearly have no hopes for en european server so i was wondering, about how much DPS does a blade master or strider lose as a result of high ping ?
Lets assume i would have around 190 ms, what would that look like side by side with someone with around 30ms at the same gear level.
 Decided to try the game out once again and blade Master seemed most appealing to me. 

If I can't play blade master then as an alternative I would like a relitavely hard hitting class, is Hero a good choice ? or Der  frauenkirich ?

    They changed the classes recently to make them less ping dependent. When the server changed to west coast, i had around 100 ping and my blade master was still pretty fast with his swings. As for which other class you should choose. Both are good classes, it would be hard to choose for someone else given i have my own biases. But i would personally choose sword hero if blade master didn't work out. I hope this was helpful and welcome back to the game!

    Take my post with a grain of salt cause this comparison was based on Season 1 content, when Bladers had only their basic combo and not much else in the way of skills.

    Years ago me and a friend put a lot of work into comparing my speed (140 ms due to being stuck on 3g internet) and theirs (cali ping)

    We measured out the time it took to do our combos, recording and counting out frames for different bread and butter things...

    After all was said and done, i can't remember the specifics, but we came to the conclusion that my DPS was only 70% of what theirs was.

    I was okay with that personally at the time, however like Augustine said, a lot of things have changed since then, A LOT. and its only made things for the better. So nowadays the gap is going to be a lot smaller, especially with more skills to use. 

    Also, im going to back up Augustine's opinion on Sword Hero. Back then, i ended up maining 2H Sword because i did the best with it back in season 1, very lag friendly. So much so i actually died LESS as a warlord than i did as a Guardian (basically an off tank that has high hp but is more ping reliant).

    Current day 2H Sword is still also very lag friendly, as most of the skills are basically auto-combos in themselves. (Multi hit with longer animations) A counter (to get out of stunlock, which is harder to do the higher your ping is) and a dash AP skill (also good for escaping potential stunlock situations). As a prior mega lagger i can vouch for it.
