Latale's poor translation

Probably won't happen but I hope that the game can get translated properly. I could only-half understand what the story was about because some of it was ok but it got so bad that some of the character's words were random letters and symbols. That's when I gave up on trying to figure out what was going on. I wanted know what was the whole situation with Iris was about but it was hard to do so with horrible translations.

They very, very badly need a quality checker for the translations. That would solve so many of the problems the translations had back on OGP.

There isn't enough interest in the story line of Latale for them to make translating the story a big priority. This is assumptions but it would make sense if you see no one is interested int he stroy line of your rpg would you take the time to translate it properly? Nah. I went through the story until it broke at some point and didn't give me anymore quests but its a really nice story line. I wish they do put more effort into translations though

Though I fully agree LT story needs better translation and proof-reading (I would even spend some time  on this myself) I doubt they will put a big stress on this matter. Mostly because people tend to skip scenarios (TL;DR) and carry on with whatever they have been doing.

It isn't JUST the main story line.. Most of the story lines later in the game have some kind of translation issue. I thought they were funny and didn't mind them. I think anyone else who read them didn't mind them either despite them needing in reality to be fixed.

Kind of a circular reasoning, i mean if you see the first few lines of the game's story is a confusing mess of course you're not gonna bother.

It would be smart to polish the translations just to make a better impression on potential new players. Especially players coming from the other games. It might not be a deal-breaker, but for players on the fence about playing, a game where not even the text is right is gonna send the impression:

"Well if they cant even place dialog right, how can i trust the rest of the game won't be a buggy mess?"

The game still will work and be good regardless, but eliminating one more negative impression to new players is a good investment.
