I won't lie, when I first start playing latale back in 2009 I stayed to myself, I didn't know anyone, and I did it purely for pleasure. After about 2 years I figured out how easy it was to lvl and started making all classes. Then after 2 more started making friends. After all that time I noticed something... Once you are a endgame the game becomes more of a job, then pleasure.



The rest of my time after that I stopped trying to get better at the game, and spent more time helping new people, but still , even though I could help maybe 4-5 new people a day the majority had no help, take out the ones who just begged for stuff, compared to the ones who actually wanted genuine help and it's even more decimal. And the thing was is some things I couldn't even help with because I was to weak.

Basically most (not all) end gamers ignored the new guys and only dealt with other people(mainly ones that could make there new found job less of a job and more of a pleasure.


Tbh this a long topic that I will add to,as I will break my fingers trying to type it all at one go, by all means add to it,and encourage it. And if I said anything wrong please understand this is my 10 years of experience, but your' s may differ so don't hold it against me.

    See, i think endgame is fun if you have people you know you can enjoy it with. I never had a dull moment hanging out with my friends, goofing off and killing each other in palace or lab haha. Endgame isn't meant to be a chore. It's just more group focused. Find you're a good set of friends and build memories. Don't be afraid to goof off in "serious" dungeons! I made it to endgame super fast and ended up finishing my weapon and stone in no time too and i cant say i didn't have fun doing it. Sure it's a little disheartening when something breaks but that's just apart of it! And i agree, i didn't like when others ignored newer players simply because they had nothing to offer them. It feels good to help others as long as they don't turn it from random acts of kindness to expectation. That is where i would personally draw a line. But i am also ready to grow and help any new players on their way again. It was fun the first time around. I hope it will be this time too. :)

    How an mmorpg is fun is doing it with friends. Latale isn't a hardcore mmo, or difficult at all, really. Its a social mmo, something fun to do co-operativally while having fun with people you're grown to know. Don't play latale like it's a single player game, you're better off with any number of titles if that's the case.
    Let's make this a social adventure.

    I remember making a thread on OGP forums crying out and outright begging people to give me a hand with Palace and Hidden Cave. "Help me get a momentum and I will do everything else on my own!" All in vain. "Buy a leech, lol". 

    I just hope things turn out better this time around. Would hate to go through the same cycle again.

    Odd. @Aegelweard. It must be when you're online then, because even until recently people would have indexes up for recruiting for these dungeons.. But yes, most endgamers who need ely would sell them.

    Totally! Like when we do guilds, anyone should be able to join despite level (unless you want a guild with just your close friends which i can understand). I remember how people use to be so rude and mean to newbies who just wanted people to play with and some guilds were so exclusive to high tier players who spent cash on all types of gear for no reason
