Why do people just sit around ?

I've noticed that people sit around and do nothing in most of the cities/towns I go to.These people don't do or say anything whatsoever.What's really the point in playing a game when you literally do nothing ? Why sit around and talk to no one at all ?

    Haha, some people just prefer the social aspect of the game and aren't overly concerned with grinding or playing the new content. Also, some people stay online and afk. Some people have proxy shops up and have to stay online so their shops don't close. Or they just don't want to leave the game. I am guilty of this, i'll find somewhere quiet to afk and sit around until i come back. This post is kind of weird considering that it doesn't really affect anything.. Or are you just genuinely curious?

    Yep usually socializing or afk. Some just don't want to play the game, I usually did that when I wanted to take a break but talk to people

    When the RNG drains all your ely
    Your dungeon runs are the exact same pattern over and over
    You keep breaking the same items repeatedly.
    You can't progress because you need certain items the market just isn't providing

    When this game stops being fun because of all of that, and everything gets repetitive as heck: 

    The other people playing the game that you meet continue to be fun to be around and talk to while they do their thing in guild chat, or buddy chat. This game gets boring, but people don't. If they do; meet someone new.

    AFKing is an ancient and beautiful art, invented over 3000 years ago by the ancient Mayans and later on adopted by the clan in Maplestory known as the "Hene Hos". Nobody really knows what caused the resurgence, but nevertheless, people spend years perfecting the art no matter what game it might be - anything from runescape, to BDO, and especially in La Tale. Everyone has different reasons for it. Some do it for fame and social status like the Hene Hos of old, some do it for money (merchants) and some just do it purely to stunt on people with really cool outfits. If you don't get it, it's probably pointless to try and understand, but just know that AFKing is an art, and I am it's Rembrandt

    Sitting around is cool but have you ever sat next to someone of the opposite gender? It's the epitome of romance in LaTale, highly recommended.

    @Aisaka  I love coming across people doing this.  I tend to pull out all my loud emotes in hopes that they left their sound on and have speakers.

    A few times they've got up and danced with me.

    I used to afk through my sleep with my friend in Ves. We wound up making it a sorta home enough to a point I recall one random player know me and her by name simply because they always saw us there. /o/
