Really just depends on the cash shop and how they do release events 'cause we all need runes, pets, gems, mics, lolbox stuff, ect ect. That what makes or breaks it for me tbh

Meh packages are fine for casuals like me that never hit 220.

All that matters is cash shop items and pricing now. Nobody has stacks of mics or pets or coupons ect ect at the start so it really heavily depends how they do their lolboxes or straight put them in store or launch event spender or something and runes ect we'll see

I have no clue what half the things are in the packages, but I see astros so I'm fine with it. I don't quality for very high because I quit before people started hitting 200 (?), but honestly, just being able to dress a character for free is pretty nice and unexpected.

tbh, people asking to be booted back to where they were/endgame worthy stuff invalidates a lot of the point of a reset. If I were papaya, I pretty much would've kept it near purely cosmetic. Might want to keep in mind that there's no official announcement on how much the game itself is going to change too!

I also admit I expected a more varied fashion set pool to start with, but I'm really, really content with the rewards we're getting.

It's odd that they limited some rewards to both level and account age, though. I wish they'd have removed the level requirement on such tiers (e.g. Tier 5). At the same time, MAYBE they could make it so one gets only the highest tier they're entitled to, because it looks like Tier 4 and 5 have an intersection in the requirements.

Can't be too picky though, and nothing's perfect. I'm already surprised with how generous they were with the rewards, not to mention it's fitting for level 220s to be rewarded.

Level 220 should have been a lot easier to get. Unfortunately, as the game was, it was pretty difficult to progress significantly with a brand new F2P account, even if 100% possible.

I feel like the people that pushed away the rewards just feel insulted is all. I'd like to make a comparison with a tv show. The new crap reboot of the teen titans had an episode where they stole treasure from a ghost. The ghost was fine with them taking his treasure but Robin goes back and gives the ghost one solitary coin. The ghost then wakes up and tells them how insulted he was and that they should have just taken the whole box of treasure. Thats kind of how the people who are pushing away everything feel. " if i'm gonna get cheated for all my effort why bother".

The difference here though is i'm pretty sure the sour grapes would still complain whatever the papaya staff decided to do. Everyone has a different opinion on whats a good and bad reward for all of our varying times and effort spent.

The only thing i'm really gonna miss is inventory slots and all my fashion costumes. Kind of disappointing that they did it by level and not the time your account was created, but as we all have clearly been showing anythings better than nothing for us. It shows that they care about their player base.

I'm glad the start will still be pretty fresh since thats why i came back in the first place.

Not quite what i expected but hey its a lot better than nothing. I'll miss my cute costumes but at least we get a free 10 dollars worth of currency.

The xp pots seem to kind of negate the point of a fresh start by making us have an advantage in levels over truly new people though. I hope they do xp events for the truly new people so they aren't too far behind the legacys.

@Cyrillic That was one of my main rants in my long post about the tiers. Why doesn't Papaya give CBT Emotes to those who were there since the beginning if they want to give vets a nice package to restart with..?

Could also be a way for those who start to spot people with experience in the game.

I have a theory regarding the 2011 tiering being the furthest back tier to count.

I was trying to archive old update info for the game, kinda have a chronology of how the game changed over the years and i found out that the update information only goes back as far as 2010 at the earliest.

I was dissapointed and tried to work with what i could.

The forums have a similar issue too, all posts prior to 2010 or so can only be googled for the printer friendly versions, but not the original page versions.

But now i wonder if something ogp did with a rehaul of their website/data caused everything prior to 2010 to be lost or inaccessible? It would explain why they're only counting the 2011 and earlier as its own tier.

Now of course, with extra hands-on effort, they probably could verify by hand all of our accounts that were pre 2011 since we can tell when our joined dates were on forums. But they likely have some sort of system setup to track all of this and port the data efficiently and doing it by hand would likely be unreasonable for so few GMs that have enough to do already. Which is why they made the choice they did.

I don't blame them though, the fact that we can only tell our join dates by posting on forums ourselves probably means our join date info is probably equally obscure to reach for them, except they CAN'T post on forums with our accounts to verify the same way.

So, thats why i'd just prefer if papaya just gave the 2011 prior tier the CBT emote if anything. As i doubt they have the means to verify who actually participated in CBT or not.

@Cyrillic Why not make an event page, with a title like "CBT Players, show us your statu(e)s!", and asking them to make a screenshot of their CBT Emote just before the game closes then? I could provide a screen with Makimoke, my very first character in the game.

@Cyrilic The fact you went and did research. I applaud you, too much respect there. But yeah, what you say does make sense. My account was 07' and then 10' for the one im using now. I guess a generalization is best considering how many people are/ having transferred. I do feel for those who are beta testers (I started playing in 2010, played Rumble fighter/ Cabal before), I think down the line they should make the emote available to everyone to be fair.

Also, just for giggles, I only saw one person (loveyoudt, aka Ezzen) truly spout any outright hate for the rewards. Everyone else either liked it to some extent or was meh.

@ultimapi Aeria just did it worse than OGP, what had people complain at OGP, Aeria was doing it FROM THE START. Didn't even survive long enough to get to S2 iirc. Dubious cash practices (if people can remember that $100 item that was supposed to be "exclusive" to the server then in fact it was not after a month), GA/GM bans for no comprehensible reasons (a GA covered players because of their bad practices and had their title revoked!), absolutely NO advertising for the game, little to no events... We had it all there. Aeria sucks at owning their games, and many a game died by their hands. Now they survive by taking as much bad games that can make money as they can. (Me? Hate Aeria? Naaaaaaah. No way. Not like they killed both LaTale and Tribes Ascend by the same practices anyways.)

The only thing Aeria did great for some time was the broken PVP (yeah, it was unintentional, don't ask too much of them). A level 20 could kick a level 190's ass and nobody complained about that. Truely "balanced" PVP. (Well, in fact it wasn't balanced, but it was still fun while it lasted.)

Phew, sorry about that big rant 'bout Aeria, but I had to get this hatred out before it hurt me even more.

I been playing since CBT and while I'm Happy as hell to get this game revamped, I'm not too happy about the level your characters have to be. I never got to the 200+ mark, but had a few over 190. I just bought astros shared them with friends and held little events with random people via Server mics to win prizes. aka, Hide and seek, Scavenger hunts, Instance assistances for lower lvls. I didn't care about getting passed lvl 200 anymore when the fun part for me was bringing happy to people around. I know it sounds like I'm complaining, I'm just upset that I'm losing a bunch of stuff, about 2 thousand dollars and I won't be getting much in reward cause I didnt hit 200.

I'm still looking forward to the game being re-released :D

@AugustineVii It's even more frustrating because I had almost Cali levels of ping there, so I could play my blader as long as I liked to without any lags. The only European server HAD TO BE TAKEN ON BY THESE GUYS. It frustrated me even more after all happened there and had to get back to my 300+ ping on OGP...

tier 6 is pretty harsh. I've been playing since cbt but the past couple of months I've spent time trying to get a full kaiser set as opposed to levelling. Level 216 too and I know many players that were doing the same. The difference between tier 5 and 6 isn't that much anyways since the pets aren't permanent/no pet herbs neeeded

It is what it is though. The thing that I would've liked most is inventory slots maybe a character slot coupon, beauty coupons like expert hair, eye, and skin, bank inventory slots, toma/gema or sunflower coupon so we have choice. These could've been given to everyone

Maybe even tier 5 harsh as well. But also there's a huge gap between a 201 and a level 210 not even in terms of level but gear and such which is more important in terms of progression

But at the end of the day it needed to be balances so I understand. Fashion shop, events and economy will affect my interest. But it should be fun and I look forward to playing with everyone

Okay so Aeria had been around for i wanna say a year? We found out they had GAs or something similar, which was cool.

Now... one day, we get a thread from one of their Gamesages basically telling us that they told them to play OGPlanet and start collecting information about their events and such, as well as their population, complaints, and all.

Looking back the actual information they wanted wasn't that malicious but it was... definitely weird.

However the Sage that told them the truth, ended up permabanned in response, not title-stripped, but fully banned from their game. That is the part that made the worst impression on everyone reading about it.

@AugustineVii And that was only ONE of all the things they did in the short time they had the game... For an outsider, the situation must have been really comical, but for those who really loved the game and had a place to play...

But let's not derail the subject here, let us get back to the packages!

One thing they could've added are points for special fashion to start if they didn't want us to have more "money". The point system wasn't used at all by OGP and I found it sad. It had potential. Let's hope Papaya can bring it back to life!

I never understood what happened with the point system. It DID exist but now it's just gone. We gained points but had nothing to use them on. Which was a huge loss and a waste. You're right. I too hope Papaya puts them to good use. @Makimoke

Even as a person who is eligible for the CBT and 200+ tier prizes, I'd have much preferred if they kept the packages exclusively fashion related without any functional items to the keep the spirit of a true reset without any extraneous gameplay advantages for anyone.

I love the packages! I'm kind of triggered though... the package that I'm getting is 171-200 and my highest leveled character is 200! The prizes would more than doubled if I was 201. ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)I just wish I leveled more instead of being lazy. I'm still grateful for the amazing packages for the legacy players. Also triggered that I didn't sign up before June 1st! I signed up on June 1st.(;´༎ຶД༎ຶ`)Still really looking forward to a new start!
