You made a nice move with these legacy rewards, I think most of the players (especially the dedicated and old ones) are pretty happy with them. Good job. However...HOWEVER! Don't let it stop there. A lot of people have been asking for more open communication, for GA's to be reinstated, and many other things - and you should definitely consider some of, if not most of these things! One of the worst things about our previous host was that they largely ignored the community, and ultimately the game failed because of it. You guys can be different. La Tale is full of some of the most crazy and passionate players I've ever seen, and I'm sure if you guys put a focus on improving the quality of this game, then things will go very well for the game and for you all as a company.

Anyways, I'm not really sure what the point of this thread was, I guess I just wanted to express some happiness about the way things look right now. So uhh, yeah. Keep it up.

Although I disagree on the packages (reasons are in the "The Packages!" thread), I'm all up for communication.

OGP progressively shut player/GM/GA communication until we had no signal of anyone, and the game went downhill from there (and maybe a lil' before that too).

Player/GM communication is not only important, it is VITAL to a MMORPG. Not only LaTale, but any good MMO out there. People who listen to the complaints, transfer them to the devs, and give the players an answer based out of what they can say or not (better have something than nothing!) are more likely to have a successful game/community than those who don't.

I don't like using other companies as an example, but look at Riot Games. Why does LoL work that well? Because they listen to their players. They have ears everywhere for anyone, they take everyone into consideration for each and every move/update. And they kept it like that, even improved that over years. And the game is still successful now.

OGP did the exact opposite : they tried to listen at first, then just did whatever they wanted to do, then completely shut off the community from them, then tried to get a good impression on them (I'll miss you, last event who remade the stocks of everybody that played on the server at that moment), and then shut off the game because eh, it had to happen.

So yeah, communication, pretty important. Just don't mess that up, guys and ladies and Apache helis.

@Makimoke I read your post and I can definitely understand where you're coming from - I wasn't expecting it to be so influenced by level either. I'm just happy they're giving us a lot of useful things to help start out though. A lot of the stuff in the later tiers is nice but isn't really the most useful and I like that they put all of the most useful stuff earlier into it. Starting out with a Pet, Warp Chargers, A fair amount of EXP pots, and some inventory bags is pretty helpful. Like you pointed out, the cash shop credit is a nice gesture, but I don't really like that it's spread out either. I guess they're trying to keep people playing, but it still seems off to me. The title does leave a bit to be desired, and it probably won't be something many use once ignate and hero titles (the 180 ones) are available, but I think it's helpful for starting out.

Packages aside, I was excited to play before they were revealed, and now I'm a lot more hype knowing I'll have access to the necessities of the game (I consider auto loot and warp crystal pretty mandatory to really play this game long term). Hopefully I can find a guild or something to play with, I've always had more fun in them on OGP.

I've always loved LaTale's BGMs. They all just bring back memories of running around not sure what you're doing but having a great time regardless. I just wish Elias kept its old bgm, i definitely prefer that over the one we have now..

LT has one of the best sound tracks of any game I know of. Incredibly atmospheric and enjoyable to listen to. I remember hearing the pyramid theme for first time and being blown away that it just had a guitar solo in it haha.

Here's another that brings back some good memories. This area was pretty hard for me when I first did it and I got whooped by Dark Moon Princess. She's pretty scary.

I remember my LaTale client stopped working at one point and the background music wouldn't play. I almost cried, had to reinstall the whole thing. Was worth it though, just for them groovy grooves.

Bring back Season 1 Elias BGM though, for sure.

@DrunkenStallion I would, but I'm not sure, since after my 2 months of holidays, my engineering school'll take all my time back so I wouldn't come as often as I'd want to!

(Also glad I was using sword and shield back then unlike those who tried gloves just for fun, it was really fun to shield bash then get lots of free hits on a jump mistake xD

But alas, Taisetsu won't be doing crap with this BS PVP, now!)

So Papaya will have it's own launcher, then? Does that mean having to re-download the game on the 28th, I wonder? Or just the new launcher?

Man, that first day is going to be nuts, with literally everyone in the starting few areas. Can you imagine the lag we're going to have in Belos? ...Can you imagine the poor few computers that might melt? XD
