Archmage help...

I am extremely frustrated and could use some help with my archmage. I have never played one before and most builds i find are out of date from being 1-2 years ago. I am lvl 191 and can't for the love of me figure out what i need to be able to solo F3. It annoys me that i am having so much trouble while everyone else seems to do it like a breeze. Maybe it isn't my build and i am just a fcking god awful player. Either way, if anyone could help it would be most appreciated.

With build its player preference, just get the normal default passives and play around with skills, it seems unoriginal to play with some one else's build to me so i made my own.
and skill resets are 0 Ely ( temp?) so experiment away

I wouldn't know what your skill build looks like, but here's what I typically do. I forget most of the skill names unfortunately.

Passives-wise, for pure maximum damage potential max out everything that boosts elemental intensity, that one passive that boosts magic static damage, and the cooldown reduction passive, and of course max out the basic, adept, expert, and master elemental passives.

You will also need that elemental crown field thing ( I forget the name ). It reduces skill cooldown while you're in the field.

Also, get the two instant casting buffs that one of them boosts elemental intensity by 120 when maxed, and the other that boosts damage by 36% when maxed. They last for a minute with a cooldown a bit longer than that. There is a small trick to use those buffs infinitely though.

With the cooldown passive and while you're in the elemental crown field, the cooldown with those buffs become somewhat less than a minute effectively giving you psuedo-permanent boost in damage provided if you pay attention to your buff timer and if you're actually in the crown field when refreshing the buff.

With the attack skills themselves. Literally pick whatever you want that matches your playstyle, max them out, and master them. Mastering the skills will greatly improve the skills efficiency especially if said skills are the early ones (example; Bubble Bubble, Wind Blade, etc.)
