[FAQ] & Simple Question; Simple Answer

This was a thread that was opened in the OGP forums and seemed to help out a lot of people. This might also cut down on some of the posts that constantly repeat themselves and just ask the same questions.

If you have any questions that can be quickly answered, I give you two options:

2. You ask your question here and someone will come and answer it! 

Thus saving space in the forums and making other posts more than just random questions that have already been answered 20+ times before.



[FAQ]

Q: why are there so many bugs? 
A: The game just started, and the GM's are hard at work fixing the issues! They see your complaints, and are listing to your suggestions! But implementation takes time, and it has nearly been a month since papaya has taken on LaTale. With that said. Just play the game, and be patient! 

Q: What is F3 and How do I get there? 
A: F3 is the 3rd room of Chunsik Castle. it is the main place for people to level from 185 to 200. (Note: You can only use the tickets to this room when you reach 190) And to get there, you need to go to Chunsik through Shalo(the floating dude in Elias), collect some warps from the mobs there so that you may head to cookie garden, then collect more warps from cookie garden to send you to F2, then in F2 you can collect tickets for F3 

Q: When does the server Reset? 
A: LaTale's Daily Login Reset Time: ~12:00 AM CEST (6 PM EST, 3 PM PST) LaTale's Instance Dungeon Reset Time: ~4:30 AM CEST (10:30 PM EST, 7:30 PM PST) 

Q: Hello, I'm level XXX, where do I grind to level?

    It seems like basic stat enchants on armor are extremely minimal/unimportant now. I also don't see many people in game even bother to enchant these stats on armor anymore, just things like crit damage on gloves, move speed on shoes, etc. Since basic stats can reach such high numbers now, I don't think like 30-40 stat makes any noticeable difference. Is this actually the case or am I missing something?

    @latency

    Well as of now, enchanting anything less than SkyColli gear is pretty much a waste of money since (s) gear base stats are enough for the basics. 

    It's still useful on said gear but once you reach palace gear that's when the enchants start getting in the 500-700s so some people do just save it for that.

    (Story question)
    For the quest near the end of the 4th class quest "One small change" where the player needs to find Sarah Subati, theres a part where the player can choose to tell her about what happened with the girl from the future or choose not to.

    Does anyone know the difference in dialogue between each choice? What does she say with each option?

    Another quest question, thinking of other parts of the game is there someplace to look up the story parts for all the quests?

    First question: Not too sure about it. It doesn't affect the story, but I would assume that the dialogue would just be shorter. 

    Second Question: As of now, no. You can see the intro from that little girl in the palace, but the rest of the story is pretty much:  Read as you go

    Are Odin weapons actually better than level up? specifically guns, assuming averagely enchanted. The base min/max damage stat is so high on the level up weapons that I have my doubts about Odin being better (excluding the skills that gain 3 levels from the Odin guns). Infinity (s) enchanted doesn't even come close to level up so before I make an investment for Odin I want to make sure it's actually the right decision

    Considering how LevelUP! Weapons stop at 180 and you can't enchant them, yes, Odin weapons are much better. In fact, you're going to need them if you want to effectively farm Sky Colli and move onto Dynasty.

    I'd like to make the argument that level up weapons are generally better than Odin unless perfectly enchanted and mythic.

    Quest / Skill question:
    I see there's a massive sidequest for what I'm assuming are the legend skills in the skill menu, but they're locked off by level. Should I hold off on even starting it until level 207, or is there some sort of crazy collection I need to do during it that would save me on frustration by starting it now (at Lv.191)?


    Skill Question:
    There used to be a DP-based special move for Holy Order /Savior where they slam a bunch of stuff (like a fire extinguisher and piano) on the enemy based on how long you hold it. I can't remember where/how I got that. Does it still exist? If so, where/how do I get it?


    Skill Question:
    Is there any use for the Templar/HO/Savior hard 'attack' (which is really a guard)? The only times when a stronger guard seems useful are the times where it doesn't matter (attacks that knock you into the air or stagger you).

    1. Start on them as soon as they are available if you wish. There is no wrong way of doing it. the only thing that will stop you is your level and the gear you attain to help you along with the quests.

    2. I'll have to let someone else answer this one. but if its skill it should be in the mace tree.

    3. Use it as you will. Its just another form of a block. if you don't use it then replace it with an attack.

    Oh hey, an SQ;SA thread.

    Gunslinger. Is it true that they increased the cooldowns on Shooting Forward + Sitting and Shooting, and do they ever revert that change in future patches? If it is true, the devs destroyed one of the most distinguishing features of the class, and that's a complete shame.

    @cube4wizards it's entirely true. they have not reverted that change yet. however, they did increase the damage on those basic abilities, and the changes actoz made are, as a whole, very beneficial to the gunslinger

    super-spammable abilities are a bit of a balance problem, in that if they can outdamage a class with longer cooldowns, why even play the slower class?

    it might've been a distinctive feature, but imo it was one that had to go

    I'm more of the opinion that the damage on those basic abilities should have just been scaled so they don't outdamage other classes, and they could make due with adjusting the skill growths to achieve that effect. I would have also said that the class being less defensive would have been a weakness that allowed for greater damage output, but nowadays endgame gear is so strong that any player can remove that weakness entirely. I would also argue that the gunslinger's spammable skills are no different from, say, Blade Master's basic attack combos, which I'm fairly sure they wouldn't break like that.

    However, I don't have my gunslinger back yet (planning on using the insta-200 item if I qualify for that by month's end), so while I hate the idea of losing the infinite bullet stream I'll have to respect your opinion until I can properly challenge it with experience. And when I play the class again, I may just find that you were right.

    Item/Quest Question:
    What is the event item "Towel of Remedy" for? I can't remember when or how I got it. It's listed as a quest item and cannot be traded, banked, or sold.

    A Google search says that it used to be used in a subclass quest, but these quests no longer exist, correct? The current subclass tutorial quest and the NPC in the Orca Area make no mention of needing this item. It also says that it used to be dropped by Wild Kobold Musketeers, but I got the item long before I went to Freios.

    Was just curious how the proxy shop worked exactly. If you set it up can you change channels or do dungeons and have it remain up?

    It's a shop you can set up near you. So ya don't need to be stuck at it. At least, that's how I remember it.


    Turn it into Herne at the palace in Elias.(The small girl with the purple hair standing next to the king)


    That quest item is most likely leftovers from a previous quest. Just toss it.

    Is there an updated google doc or something of monster card drop/success rates as well as their relative stat gain values, along with item codex rates and values, like the ones that were managed over at OGP?

    I've only found an old one that seems to have incorrect stats now (since it only lists up to Degos)
