So I've tried to play La tale a few times off and on, over the past decade. And apparently I'm the only person this annoys? Never seen anyone else complain about it. But I CANNOT play this game because of the controls to run. Double tapping the direction keys to run in a combat grind game is the most absurd thing any dev could have possibly done. I've looked around in game time after time, googled with zero results, etc. Tried playing with a controller. (Which isn't that bad, but still the same issue.)
IS there ANY way to either reverse the control setting for running (Run by default, walk on double press.) or otherwise just set it so that one can run automatically, with a single key press?

-"Combat grind game" is not a genre, it is a game mechanic. LaTale is a side scrolling game. Side scrolling games commonly requires you to double tap directional keys to run.
-It is not an absurdity it's just that you treat 3D games and other side scrolling games that doesn't have a walk function as the same genre just because they both have mechanics for combat and grinding enemies for leveling.
-There is no way to reverse the control settings because unfortunately that is just how the game was coded as.
-The admins of Papaya cannot do something the scales as changing a game mechanic because they're just a server host not the owner of the game. (if you know what I mean by this) Only KLT can, and even if you did this at KLT, they probably wouldn't make a second option for running controls because the population who do find this as an issue is very incredibly low. I don't think I need to elaborate on lag.

all classes in the game have long range dash skills or panic button skills so it shouldnt be a problem.
even when youre getting knockbacked nonstop its still possible to get out (jjoo rem, mounts with blink skill pay2live goyim)
hold a specific button to walk is understandable but "walk on double press" is something no sane devs would ever think about
Furthermore, I never mentioned anything indicating I wished for the current hosts to change anything. I only asked if there was perhaps a setting or something to solve my issue, that I had perhaps missed.

Imagine being a class that has speed passives and or got buffed with speed buff, trying to go to an area that only allows you to access if you go down by the ladder would be horrendous if you didn't have the option to walk over the ladder. To put on top, the range to even go on the ladder is very small too. If you only had the option to run for this, this would be a nightmare for those who have high ping, because players with high ping takes a pretty big step even though they just did a single tap on the directional button. The only way this issue would be resolved is if the Korean game devs decides to remove those type of map obstacles, which would be a lot of remapping I'd imagine.
Anyways- yes, it isn't commonly used as running to move your character across the map but it's not useless to the point where removal is required.
