How is TDD calculated from gear?

So looking at my stats while I mess around with gear and skills, I noticed some gear and skill give less TDD than what it says on it. Example I use Chunsik Glasses, it should add 11 TDD but only gives me 4. Is this a glitch, typo, or is it calculated differently? Would like some help with this.

Defense Pen works by reducing the amount of defense left after every other source of Defense Pen. How does this work? Say you've got 3 sources of pen - one is 20%, one is 10%, and one is 30%.

You have 100% of enemy defense before any pen at all, so take your 30% first. The enemy now has 70% of their defense left.

Then, you take 20% of that 70% left. This gives you 14 defense pen, leaving the enemy with 56% defense left.

Then you take 10% of the 56% remaining, giving you another 5 defense pen, (LT rounds down every decimal) leaving the enemy with 51% defense left. You now have 49 defense pen total.

This means that you'll get diminishing returns with every source of defense pen, and because LT rounds down every decimal, you'll never hit 100%.

Ugh. This means that 9 sources of 10% TDD only gives you 61% TDD. That's kinda lame.

The strict formula is, rounded down,

    (100-currentTDD)*addedTDD%

what moonternity said is kind of correct, but there isn't really a demonishing return, espcially with some classes having tdd misc skills, the reason why tdd is treated as a rounded stat is because there is so many ways to get tdd now, and add it all up, it was very posibly to technicalle dget over 100% tdd at one point in time in the game, but it would only give you that 100% so when people had 110 and so on that extra bit didn't help. I think currently on my class, I have 79% (in my stat table, not added up from my gear) and there are still equips that can give tdd and skills and pet buffs, like brownie or wisp, there is also gems, and so on, even starkeeper's ely skill. it's a lot east to get high amount of tdd then people like to make it seem.
