Lag = Nearly Unplayable

I've been playing all month without much of an issue, this past week though has had some very noticeable lag. Tonight it's so bad that I can barely play. I've had party members complaining about it as well over the past few days and they are right now. So, I'm not the only one with an issue.
I am on the East Coast so I really shouldn't be having these issues, and I know not everybody is having them but I've played with a lot of random people who are. Did something update or occur that is known?
