Why are capes/wings layered on top of shields and offhand weps?

Any class with a shield and 1h wep or demigods should know what i'm talking about. It's not anything big but I'm just curious.

    Little details. Like how the gothic hat is in front of Lucifer wings but behind angel ones. The main reason why I don't ware them.

    There's no real reason for it. Most likely just minor coding errors.
