Can't connect to channel 7 or 8

When I try to connect to channel 7 or 8, it doesn't connect me, I stay in a state which is the same as when you enter a dungeon before the loading screen. It won't connect me no matter how long I stay. Then I log out or exit or et cetera, if I try to connect to my character it will disconnect me unless I go back and change the channel.
