ReShade: Is it a problem or a solution?

Thought provoking title indeed;

So as some people reading may or may not know ReShade is a tool which allows for advanced post processing in games which may not ordinarily have accounted for newer technologies or just don't utilize them.

First off I'd like to point out that ReShade has been vetted thoroughly by Anti-Cheat developers, players and streamers alike, the general consensus is that it's purely optional and not at all threatening to the gameplay of any games - Notably it can be found in the whitelisted section on EAC's website: https://support.easyanticheat.net/kb/recording/?lr=en-us

For people who haven't used ReShade before, either they've never heard of it or just never looked into it, I'd like to use this picture as an example of what it essentially does: image

Apologies for it being low detail, but the difference is noticible in that the colours are more vibrant, there's certain filters which can be applied, such as an "HDR" filter which balances darker colours better and makes colours that are intended to be very dark, actually darker - so black actually looks black instead of a faded slate grey.

The whole post is here to mostly inform, to ensure there's no misinformation, googling on the matter can yield the same or similar results.

The last point I'll touch on is performance wise, it can negatively affect some players performance if they were to use it, but for the most part the loss of performance is negligable - unless there's lots of configs loaded at once, which at that point it begins to bog down warrock load speeds as each time warrock loads something new, for instance a new map - it will reload all of the configurations, causing a longer load time (exponentionally longer the more things that are added).

Though I could go on further - I'd be happy if people could discuss and see whether it's a diamond or a detriment to warrock.

But I can promise I shall be firing back responses to the contrary if you believe it is a detriment ;D

I figured I would attach some screens of what I got before being informed that it was disallowed:

    VibranceGUI ( https://vibrancegui.com/ )

VibranceGUI is an application that automates NVIDIAs Digital Vibrance Control ("DVC") by utilizing the NVIDIA Driver API.
AMD support for automating Saturation has been added.

Changing the setting manually in NVIDIAs or AMDs Control Panel after quitting the game is annoying and that's why I decided to use this tool.
However, I asked SkateBoard after it was announced it's not allowed to use ReShade if it's allowed to use vGUI. The answer? - No.
I have no idea why because he said it's allowed to use nvidia's control panel..

-it does not load a dll into the game, actually it does not load anything into the game
-it does not read the process memory
-it does not write the process memory
-it does not alter game files

    Before 50% (normal):

After ~100% (highest, I did this with paint.net but it looks pretty much like this):

But see, the thing about Re-Shade is,
Well, it'll be easier if you see it.

    and
    https://www.youtube.com/edit?o=U&video_id=hAJXv-D_OHI

Both of these videos actually show the benefits on ReShade and don't impede on the game.

The only way they alter the game is by updating their rendering for graphics, that's it.

It actually makes 0 sense not to allow it, and their decision to not allow it is actually a rather distasteful one that doesn't make sense.
