Can't advance to my first job. Currently I am lvl 59

Hello.
I used the item that transfers me to the desert area to advance my job. I unequipped everything. but there was no dialogue. I moved to the other room. I tried to talk to the npc, he says do you want more power? and gives me only the option to warp. I warped. and came back through the desert area, and now it is the same, I can't advance and he only gives me the option to warp.
