UWO need-to-know about the staff/game

Hi, I want to know if papaya will fire all staff or keep the abusive ones ogp placed in? Also if you were to wipe all accounts and restart economy UWO is full of lazy players , yes they will get mad. Yes they will most likely will but the game was inflated and everything was passed around and alts filled the game.

Do the game a favor and restart.

Hire new staff.

Reset everything.

Also uwo originally had he ability for pirates to steal gear, a gm took that out because of himself being butt hurt and lazy.

These are my requests, also example of the rude and missed staff I'm sure battousai has commented on a few posts so far being , excuse me..an asshole.

Just some words to help you consider a few things once again!

I understand parts of what you say but I do not agree with all of that. The balance between piracy players and merchant players became totally out of balance terribly frustrating lots of the merchant players. There was need for protection towards the merchants in order to keep the game "playable" as a merchant, Piracy became the main subject of the game and trading became as good as impossible. The risc it would eventually bring down the entire game in a cascade of occurrences was imminent!
I understand your point, but life as a merchant, such as I prefer to be, believe me, was hard as hell at one point. Especially when u had to deal with pirates who were funded with lots of real money ;)

This is definitely not a point to make a decision about right away. Both Merchant players and Piracy lovers should be pleased in spite how and by who the game will be modded in future. In the end I don't think the current moderators did a bad job knowing that you have to find a balance between all player types, all player frustrations and keeping the game attractive to new players who are not (not immediately) able to open their wallets to buy their fair chances to survive and grow stronger before they get washed away time after time. After all, aren't we all looking for a fresh load of players to expand the players database.
Believe me when I say, the piracy-terror wasn't really stimulating that at a certain moment and many new players kept from continue and/or even starting when hearing so...

Tbh, that will hurt UWO in long run especially many players will quit if they have to start over again. You have to blame on OGP for allowed this happen because they got greedy by deliberated to nerf or take away ie LSS, special hulls, etc to force players to spend more on astro.

They ruined La Tale's gameplay because OGP whacked economy big time ,but Papaya was able to fix those problem. I think they will able to figure out how to balance game play while prevent cheaters, rotten criminals, hackers, or greedy bastard ie resellers from ruin UWO.

I'm kind of curious about why some of these people were perma-banned. Is it because of their gameplay, or comments they make?

People were banned based on OGP rules of conduct and after their thorough investigation of both sides if there were other people involved.

The reasons why is not something that is divulged to the player base.

piracy rule should be resetted to about 7 years ago, there isn't as many pirates out there as there used to be and the likelihood u will come across a pirate in open waters is very low like seriously small, the rules for the pirates shouldn't have been messed with in the first place u add a little risk to setting out on a trade run to say EA ur bound to run into other merchants and occasionally a pirate or 2, its a risk instead u have pirates camping ports rather then hunting for their prey, u had merchants using esb's to mass farm nanban goods from dungeons without ever leaving EU. there is no harm in returning the pirates to where they were would add more reason to be a pirate instead of just a server full of merchants and Bounty hunters with nothing to hunt, i see more pirates in seville then i do on the waters. as for the banned players let them come back were changing from OGP to papaya give the banned players a chance to redeem themselves. if u do manage to wipe the server clean those players would probably come back. as for the current CA's leave them as they are its fine by me and they are helpful, sure occasionally have colorful language but its a game.

I emailed OGP twice in a 1 year period, asking if they would, or have considered setting up a new server to start the world fresh. They made it pretty clear that they would not accept a third request on that topic.

Take that for what it's worth, but you never know why a person gets banned from a game.

also Battousai was pretty decent among what we had, there was far worse you could had used as example but i suppose he was involved in proving you deserved that ban.

Give this game a fresh start as requested by the original poster and you drive away over 90% of the veteran players who have spent years to develop their characters and many of them a lot of real money as well.

So my opinion, i recently started back... the game kinda lacks the adrenaline rush i was used to when netmarble had the game, i was a trader in the beginning and traveling to SEA was a rush.. outrunning pirates was a great feeling.. then i became a pirate, terrorized the Carrib and it felt great! Being able to take items was a key goal of pirates.. hence the job PIRATE!

Restore the pirate ability, traders have options, tributes and flags. This is how the world works. If you dont want your 1B items stolen, dont carry them arround. Bank or store them.

I know members will hate my opinion because they are to lazy to hit the bank or invest their billions of ducats into a couple million in tributes..

And a server wipe is completely unacceptable without a huge reimbursment to players who have invested time.. money.. effort in getting the server to where it is today.
