Regarding saved progress and the total disregard for disclosing any info

Just to throw this out there, myself, everyone I talk to personally, and
all but one or two crazy people I have seen in chat will quit if we
have to start over again.
All that relentless grinding just to start over? The SB grind, defecting 7 nations, maxing and refining
skills, failing at fusion over and over and all that money spent to get
my ships graded. Just the hours and hours of sitting in the battle ring
with evasion on repairing and firing my guns over and over. And my
cannon skills aren't even maxed yet! All the gear I've collected. All
the quest chains and unlocking almost all the dungeons. All the endless
charting. All the time and money building our colony. Getting R4
quarters. Investing hundreds upon hundreds of millions for court rank....
If I'm finally about to get to end game where I can craft whatever I need
and finally just about have the skill ranks to actually go out and
actually do some PVP instead of just grind, and do some of the really
cool adventure stuff instead of just grind, and the rug gets pulled out
from under me... No thanks, I'm done. And many others feel the same
way. People have invested years into this game to get where they are. A
lot of people have way more than the 4 or 5 years I have in. I could
only imagine how they would feel.
Please do not wipe all of our hard earned progress!
And please, you don't get involved with licensing a game and all that
expense and setup and not have a plan. How can you not know if you are
resetting us or not, seriously! Have the common decency to tell us if
you are going to do a wipe, one way or the other.
Between the
sleaze over at OGP telling us out of nowhere that we have less than 5
days to spend the remainder of our astros, get all of our stuff out of
the captains chests and receive items (which creates a big inventory
issue especially not knowing the storage alt/ multi-boxing policy of the
new company). And Vertigo not even telling us if they are resetting
progress, let alone if we need to go through the aggravation of clearing
all the stuff out of our receive items, docks or whatever is safe
storage or not. And not disclosing what the multiboxing or storage alt
situation will be. I think very little respect is being shown for the
community that has been, and is expected to continue, investing our hard
earned real world money into this game.
So 2 days now before
the server shuts down, and all I can see about Vertigo so far is they don't even
feel it's necessary to tell us anything at all about what's going on.
