LF Guide contributors

With the new influx of new possible players a new host can bring, I had an idea simplify, re-write, add to and update as much of the old wiki's, blog sites, shiftvrs sites etc and houses all of the guides, tutorials and information in 1 new, written for the western game place which may have a knock-on effect in server population.  I know its came a long way but its still not good enough and there are cries for a new site that's easy to navigate and has what the people are asking for.

Another hellish problem with the UWO sites is all of the godforsaken adverts and popups for crap we don't want or need.  Why not replace those adverts with actual adverts for in-game services like shipbuilders or casters, something the player base needs.

As for the platform were using, it is extremely interactive and aimed at getting people to have better communication with people who they need the services of.  It's also going to have space for companies to manage their own groups and take advantage of our FREE ts3 server on NPL license, Space to upload any media, photos, videos and anything else.

Anyone willing to contribute or any company director willing to ask about a teamspeak channel admin or anything else you would like to know, then please get in touch.

DISCLAIMER - I know there are already websites out there, but how about trying one that's being developed by 2 computer science graduates :)

Heh. Been away too long to contribute to the guide, but I remember having to scrounge through pages of blank, incomplete and sparsely populated WIkis and translate many pages in order to find out some of the most rudimentary information about the game and various quests, when UWO first launched.

My point exactly, not saying things haven't greatly improved with a number of free sites popping up offering guides and tips but its still not enough.  I aim to have a BETA "UWOBOOK" with guides and tutorials covering up to 50 maritime.  Once the games released ill focus more on end game content.  I also have a good friend whos Japanese and also speaks fluent Korean and Taiwanese who will be searching the UWO wikis for all the other servers and translating to English

Anyone can get involved, here is a complete list of positions we would like to fill.

1 National group leader.  - 1 person per nation who will be in charge of the open public group based on your player's nationality.

1 community leader.  - Our platform is like Facebook and offers many features, forum, ts3, line (it's like a Twitter tweet), All activity that is tagged for public use is displayed on a facebook like wall.  You can add friends, join and create groups, upload videos, write blogs and index them, create pages (which is where we will post our guides).  I'm looking for someone to head up the community team to oversee everything regarding the social aspect of the site.

Middleman lead - The middleman will be someone who is someone who helps new players who want lower ranked ship then he will be able to find someone to do it for the player.  I've read a lot about news players finding it difficult to find people to help them with the production of their desired item.

We aim to fill the gaps in information and save the new player having to make sense of partial guides about something they already don't really understand.   We want to try our best to keep the new players interested until they become hooked on such an educational and vast open world sandbox.

Anyone is welcome to join while we're in alpha stages of development regardless of your experience and knowledge of the game.  One part of this is guide writing and content fill but the other part is to welcome everyone regardless of their skill level and give everyone the respect by doing what we can to assist the next generation of voyagers.

If however, If someone wants to go ahead with end game content please feel free to enjoy free no advert space for your blogs guides or videos. You will never get a pop-up's or adverts on UWOBOOK, All are welcome.
