My wish list
1. Everything transfers AS IS, no wipe.
2. Papaya
finds way to make lots of money so they will be willing to reinvest in
the game, particularly to attract new players (newbies)
3. When
changes are made in the future, there will be less grinding, because in
today's world, newbies want instant success and gratification with more
action to keep their interest, and without newbies, income for Papaya
decreases and .the game gets sold off again.
4. Uncharted Waters gains at least half as many players as Grand Theft Auto, but each has more intelligence
.
My character is (xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx), and I would appreciate hearing other players wish lists.

action to keep their interest'
My overall ideal scenario is to start with papaya as a host on the existing server, to optimize it initially and once it is optimized, to start a second server for whoever is interested in starting the adventure all over in a new optimized server. That way current progress and toons and friends and... are still at your disposal too.
Flo!
I guess what I don't really understand since I love this game so much is why it doesn't attract new players who have less time to spend playing. Less time seems to be a problem for everyone these days.
So adding to my wish list, I would like to add some feature that allows new players to find more success and bigger rewards right away when they first begin playing.
1. Everything transfers AS IS, no wipe.
What is a "nerf". How or why did they happen?
1. Remove needless nerfs to piracy and deck
2. Balance deck like on Chinese server where it's still useful but can't be initiated if you have deck barrier
3. Set improved hold back to before it was 100% piracy protection.
4. Remove 24 hour piracy guard
5. Papaya outlaws piracy spotter alts
6. Remove farming of all players
7. They add an epic land feud.
8. Add a pay item to halve build time of ships that stack with the Oxford skill
9. A lot of vets come back and rebuild the new world
How do you remove 24 hour piracy guard and stop farming of players at the same time? Is this not a contradiction?
you do not want to repeat that mistake,do you?
My wishlist:
give us xp bonus until we reach our level
more dungeons
GMs always on
More events
Free astros ( via videos, polls, etc)
I posted some of this one, as part to other responses. I tried to keep the ideas within the current
structure of the game and with minimum modifications needed. My wish list would be:
1.
Improvements for Company Directors to simplify
managing companies:
·
An indicator on the Company’s Member list, that
shows which members have completed their contributions or assigned an aide to
an aide fleet.
a.
For companies that are not full of Alts, the
amount of time this would save their directors is significant. I know the argument about making players
send emails when they are done. In companies
with 40+ players and less than 5 alts, it can be a like herding cats.
·
An indicator or name color change on the company’s
member list, when a member has not logged in for 30 and 60 days.
a.
This would allow members to reach out, to the
absent ones or simplify removing inactives that would drop soon anyways. This is especially true for the number of new
players who, join a company and then quit the game.
·
Increase the amount of (typing) characters in company
emails, to equal in length of regular player to player emails.
Note:
One positive change, was the shared company storage, it makes the distribution
of contributions (that are not ship parts) a lot easier.

Im not gonna try to change their mind about the wipe, because apparently they're not gonna listen.
If a wipe is the only way they can come up with, why dont they make it pay-to-play instead of keeping it the old broken way (which will only lead us to another doomsday)?
Jap server has been going on pay-to-play for 8+ years, and showing no signs of slowing down.
Some of my friend also play there, and they said each month in ESF they got more and more crowd.
(what happens to any ecology when you remove all predators)
Ideas for improvement, within the existing structure of
the game:

to an aide fleet. For companies that are not full of Alts, the
amount of time and headaches, this would save their directors is significant.

the same number of characters as player to player emails.

of contributions significantly easier.

2. Make
all ships buildable by players. Let
shipbuilders be shipbuilders again, instead of ship improvers and upgraders.
Make all ships, including astro
ships, buildable by players at specific ports or company colonies. Astro ships can stay in bottles but, have a
system for shipbuilder to same ship. To
do this without losing any income and generating more income for Papaya:
Create 3 types of new Astro Tickets. “Modification Permit Tickets” (MPT), could be
a ticket, like EA Shipbuilding Permits.
MPT would sell for 149 Astros each and the 3 types are:
when building hull that gives skill/attribute bonuses, which normally come from
bottle ships. Example: Metal Work + Teak
Paneling + (Ship Hull) AMPT = Large Flat Hull (like for Schooners) w/
Wave-resistant armoring.
make improved sail parts. Example: Large
Gaff Sail + (Sail) AMPT Item+100 Silk Fabric = Delphin Gaff Sail
improved ship parts. Example: Anti-rolling tank + Admiral Cabin + (ship part)
AMPT = Shipside Tank
new Astro Ticket. “Ship Requirement Mod
Tickets” (SRMT) would reduce levels requirements for any ship. The SRMTs sell for 149 Astros each.
SRMTs for each type of requirement: Adventure, Trade and Maritime.
level requirement of a ship by 5 levels.
With a cap on the maximum total requirement reduction at -30 levels per
ship.
32. Buy 5 ship requirement mod tickets
for 149 astro each (4 Adventure and 1 Maritime). Use the tickets and the Patrol Corvette now
calls for 52/29/27 at a cost of 894 Astros.
their old ones. So there would be a high
demand for this tickets.
revenue stream for Papaya and more effective for the players.
the complaints about the in-game economy and the super inflated selling prices
of bottle ships without flooding the market, with unwanted bottle items.
reduce the current inflation of ship prices and put shipbuilders and ship part
makers back to work.
billions of ducats for a fully modded and graded ship, with level requirement
reductions already installed OR, they could pay a few 100 million ducats for a
high-end ship build, where they supply the parts and use astros to lower the
levels to what they need.

1. Add Quarters to Private Farms. For the sake of this conversation, call them “plantations”.
Apply the same structures, requirements and improvement methods
that exists for players quarters, but the plantations will be on to the private
farms.
increase sea traffic and ambush points.
as Quarters. You can sail to the
plantation and add/remove anything you want, at any time. You could also add items to the plantation
storage at any major city, but there is 1 exception to item removal.
only accessed at major cities. The
number of removable items would be limited by the grade of the plantation. One item per type, per grade. Example: R2 Plantation holds 4 Ship parts, only
2 can be selected for removed each day, from a major city.
Plantations would also have Stewards, mannequins
and furniture to increase storage.
no one likes the default steward.
Just like Trade Goods in Quarters, Trade Goods
could only be removed at the plantation.
But trade goods could be transferred directly to the plantation from the
private farm warehouse.
Plantations would also have docks. Like the Caribbean Docks.
the private farm, major cities and company colonies.
1 ship inventory slot per Grade. (+1 to
+5 Ship inventory slots)
plantation with Patriot Awards and ducats. (+1 Ship inventory slot)
be applied to Plantation Docks up to max +4 Ship inventory slots.
slots. This cures the problem, of
players being able to hold enough material ships, while trying to increase ship
grade. Most players also have main ships
and the 3 battle ships need for ESF, in our ship inventory.

4. Give
Aide Captains storage. Players gain the
benefits of Aide ships carrying cargo.
This is what has helped in-game ducat revenues explode.
Only Aide Captains would have storage
capabilities, like regular players.
Their storage would increase with their levels. Initially they would start with 10 slots (5
Capt Bag slots and 5 Binder Slots) until the Aides total levels equal 30. Then for every 5 total levels they gain 1
slot, with a max of 30 slots (20 open inventory, 5 Capt Bag and 5 Binder).
= 29 extra inventory slots.
Patriot Awards and payment in ducats… Like a Dock Permit.
protected against plunder, unless the aide ship is activated into battle.
characters, by giving the aide captains access to short term or long term
strong boxes.
Make the 5 items that are given to any aide to
“wear”, returnable to the player. This with
some rules:
traveling with the player or, the player is at their quarters
storage) would having their durability reduced while travelling. (-1 durability point per 100 days at sea, applied
to each item.)
Ideas #3 and #4, would significantly reduce the need for
multiple characters. Item and ship
inventories would be significantly expanded.
And on regular intervals, Astros would need to be purchased.

5. Give
players more reasons to go to Amsterdam, Venice, Lisbon and Marseilles. England has London, Oxford, and now
Manchester close by. Seville is the
center of selling everything.
Suggestions:
like, Zurich or Munich to Amsterdam, Marseilles and Venice.
travel through Marseilles. The Lourve
has does not draw players there.
Dracula’s Castle, that is accessed by chariot from Venice. To get access to the chariot, it should be
part of an Adventure quest. Maybe as an incentive, put some rare items in
hidden passages.
Land charts can be completed as is, and the
benefits of charting would be immediately given to the player. But instead of automatically getting the XP
and Fame Points. Give discovery cards
for each charted land area. When they
are reported in Mercator in Amsterdam, that is when the XP and Fame is given.
Sea Charting could be handled the same way as
above, with Reporting to an NPC in Lisbon or Venice.
Amsterdam, Marseilles, and Venice are
production cities for the Astro Modified Parts, discussed in Suggestion #2...
Astro modified parts can only be produced in these 3 cities or a company’s
colony (if the colony has both parts of the ship yard).

6. NPC
shops and bottles items need to be reviewed, along with bazaars.
Items that take more than R4 production skills,
either should not be available in NPC shops or the quantities should be limited
and the pricing fluctuate based on inventory at a NPC peddler.
Request Investment Books – at one time were player produced or reward
ticket items. They started selling them
for 1000 ducats in Florence with a 15th Century time period.
NPC undercut the market value and the point of having them as a contribution
item. The materials cost more than 1000
ducats to produce a RIB.
a useful source of income from beginning or mid-level merchants. They used to sell in company shops for 35k-150k
ducats.
Consumable Items that are sold in NPC shop or
tavern, are ineffective company contribution items because, no one must work
together.
a company contribution, 1 player can haul around 4-12 items back, to share with
1 or 2 company mates. They also spend 20-80M
ducats to purchase the items (example: Jade Necklace).
Olive Steaks were sold in by a NPC, one player could carry 999 back and hand
them out to 10-12 company mates, at a cost of 1-20M ducats.
Rare items in bottles significantly undercut market
values… the SB+1 Book takes hours plundering, and when it came in a bottle item,
prices dropped and undercut the value of a player’s efforts.
available as difficult memorabilia reward or in 9-star shipwreck.
Raise ducat limits for the Player Bazaar and the
Aide Bazaar ducat. Max value a player should
be allowed to carry is 500M or 999,999,999 ducats.
drove the price up on so many things, that 100M per item cap is not enough.
items under 500M ducats, players don’t want to spend time shouting WTB/WTS
message.
the price of grading and improving ships, the price of ships have gone up
beyond what can be sold in the bazaars.
Significantly better Light and Standard class ships could be sold in
Bazaars, with this higher ducat cap.
avoid ESF because, there are not enough a decent number of quality ships in
those classes for sale, prior to the ESF.
potentially would sell more Astro SSIPs and the purposed Astro Ship Tickets,
generating more revenue for Papaya.
Make SSIPs a recipe so players can produce them: Handicrafting R15 Recipe: 1 Original Ship Permit + 100 MCCT + 1 Improved Steel Sheet = 3-4 SSIP
Remove the Special Investment Bond for 200M
ducats from the game. Replace it with a new
astro item: special reinvestment bond,
that allows a player to invest any amount, of their own ducats, and get a 3X
the Fame and 2X Trade XP bonus. This
would put the funding back into the players ability to earn ducats and not
their ability to buy an Astro item.

7. Drop
the daily experience and skill bonuses.
Return to the monthly weekends or holidays, that had either 1.5 or 2
times the XP and/or the 1.5 or 2 times the Skill XP event.
those weekends/holidays. Something given
every day is not an incentive.
company contributions reset or the weekend before ESF, each month, it would
engage more players in making contributions or prepping for the ESF.
every day.
8. Change
plundering at sea and remove the blue flags.
A fair alternative to the blue flags,
that benefits to the pirates is an improved Fine Goods tributes.
can make Fine Goods Tributes (by ship class) and sell them. Papaya wanted
to make an astro item, sell sets of 5 Fine Goods Tributes for 79 Astros.
one Fine Goods Tribute is given to a pirate, the trader loses 1/2 your ducats
and cannot be attacked by the same pirate for a time. That is not
worth the effort to make the Fine Good Tributes.
and cargo (not items) and a 20 minute no attack (green) flag. Also a Trader could hand over up to 5 Fine
Good Tributes to protect all their money and cargo.
Good Tributes for items, on the same premise as the Gold Nuggets
Exchange. Different groups of items on the Exchange each month.
convert the Fine Goods Tributes back to their production materials at a pirate
city and sell the trade good.
Pirate could also resell the Fine Goods Tributes, in a bazaar for even more
ducats.
could be protected, in the same way they are protected from accidently being
sold. However if a player forgets to
turn on the save function and get plundered, it’s their own fault.
