Ship Advice please

Re posted due to stupid mobile version messing up and wiping title.

So I’m writing this presuming we will not have a server wipe.

My battle toon I’m grinding is around 26/48/36

I’ve been grinding melee constantly but want to do some cannon and evasion grinds and also have a decent but cheap ship for battle and with good dura.

I hear TLG can be a decent grinding battle ship.

Can it be spec’d for battle?
What mods can it have?
Bullet proof armour?
Improved sails?

And any idea of the price?

Thank you all for your help.
Also if there is a better ship that I don’t know of please feel free to advise me.

for your current lvls TLG is a good choice for battle.Recommend you have it built by a r20 SB for best results

Any advice on what stats/mods i can get on the ship and an average price? can i add gun ports or bullet proof skill?

Do not waste your resource on a TLG. Low tier or 2nd hand premium ships are much better options.

I recommend Augmented Norske Love (ANL) or Festive First Class Vaisseau (FFCV), both of which can be acquired within a few billions.

As for how to make those few billions of ducats? Check CPC's money making guide.

as far as i can see BPA can not be modded on. might be able to inherit with fusion ,but not sure the expense is worth it

looks like,with iron hull max dura is 923,has 4 broadsides,not sure if 5th can be added(with fusion)max gunports is 90 ,but it has bow & stern turrets too

64 carronade broadside pack a good punch,but if your gunnery skill is high cannon might be better

base build cost is 16.8m

as to how to mod it.if u can,i suggest you look it over on ivyro

I'd also suggest a cheap NC ship, or if your main has a NC battleship just use that if ur only grinding ur alt.
An NC ship such as
MIS- modified iron sides
CIS- custom iron sides
MAV- modified armoured vaisseau
MSF- Modified Super Frigate
MF- modified frigate
MV- modified vaisseau

All are decent ships that you can get rather cheap. A couple bil, i know you wanted cheap cheap but why not get a ship ur main could use also

OR...

You could roll in a CSTS- CUSTOM STACKED TURTLE SHIP
NO fear of melee battles and consentrate on cannons. Ship was going for 1-1.3b before server closure.
Any on these ships can easily take you to lv 60 battle. BLACK SEA BATTLE REPORT grinding.

For grinding purposes only, a TLG will serve you well. You can get close to 1000 durability if you panel it in iron, use ship fusion to add a 5th cannon slot which isn't expensive and time consuming if your going to just G1, has nice base armour comparable to that of mid level battle ships, and can go up to 100+ crew. You cant get BPA on it as a optional skill, but you can add it on as an original ship skill. Only drawback is it has no good optional skills for battle aside from Adjutant's cabin, but thats really all you need. I grinded in this one for awhile and I was able to take on most fleets in Carib, Red Sea, India, and SEA except for the ones sailing in La Morts and Super Frigates around Latin America. It might be one of the best value battle grinding ships. And once you get to battle level 52, you can sail in a Vaisseau which is even better then the TLG, and take on fleets in EA and elsewhere.

For those players suggesting Astro/NC ships, you dont really need one of those for grinding purposes, although it can help you in the long run.

The ships Laviol suggested should be <= 1b. Mod Vaisseau is 500m actually IIRC since it's used as a mat ship these days. Personally I agree with BlakeC though, just go with TLG, much cheaper since it's only a grind ship.

Well, there are several FS ships that you can use for grinding which depend on what's your goal ?. Oh, you have lack of levels especially adventure ,so I will suggest few ships that you may want to consider if you don't plan or can get NC ship.

TLG has lack of battle skills ,but you can get Adjutant's Cabin and IH then get Heavy Bomb via OSP while get IGP or Intensive Charge from Inheritance.

Refitted Heavy Carrack is great ship for grinding ,but for some reasons many players don't think much of RHC or Heavy Carrack. If you plan to grind melee, this ship is perfect choice because it has Roaring Sea Mine and Attack Prevention Net. Roaring Sea Mine will cause enemies massive chaos while Attack Prevention net allows you to retreat safely and it will increase your defense during melee. I recommend you to get WMB via Inheritance then get Command Post. Command Post prevent your ship to get confused by cannons especially last second to get melee'ed.

Heavy Carrack has more crews than RHC while it has WMB then should get Intensive Repair. APN and Command Post like RHC or can go for HB and Intensive Charge or IGP.

Like TLG, Siam has lack of battle skills except it has Special Smoke Bomb and Adjutant's Cabin. You should get IGP via Inheritance then get Intensive Charge via OSP.

If you plan to grind gunnery skills, you should hit 40's to get Xebec Frigate (32/32/43) or Super Corvette (30/8/42).

IMO, you should get TLG or maybe RHC if you can't get MV.

Oh, I remember MV has IGP that UWOtool missed. IGP + Intensive Charge and Command Post or APN then get HB from OSP then get Adjutrant's Cabin if you want your aides level up faster.

Adjutant's Cabin will give your aides 20% bonus exp whatever you do such as crafting, quests, battle, sailing, etc.

IGP- Improved Gun Port that will make reloading going faster and increase range.

OSP= Origin Ship Permits that you need 200 PA to get one OSP from secretary @ palace.

FS- Freestyle that needs hull to build FS ships via special sb.

If you can get your hands on a Graduation Frigate, from the advanced maritime school, and add an extra broadside port, it will serve you well for grinding battle - go to Genoa and do the battle reports for Tyrennian sea, you will level up pretty fast.

the beauty of my suggestion is that you can still get the grad frigate by going to school, which is what we will all be doing if the server is wiped.

understandable. I only have a couple years and a couple hundred bucks invested. A lot of people are much worse off with this wipe.
