    Like many here I have played 7+ years I can't believe that they are resetting the world. If it's a true reset all lv0 the environment reset as well most have not taken into consideration sea areas like ea will all need to be reopened many things will not be possible for a long time for most players.... also there are surely back ups of the world every update koei musta mirrored the server even a roll back to day0 at ogp/ netmarble for my character would be better then total loss this is unacceptable and other transfers to servers jap/ Korea should be offered with intact characters would be better for some

    Let's not forget that India and EA won't be available if development is set to 0/0/0. Oh, but the newbies wouldn't remember the massive push by hundreds (even thousands) of players to open EA through imperial quests that took weeks even for the largest nations. Given that UWO's player population will drop to a few dozen thanks to a server wipe, there will be nowhere to go outside Europe to trade.

    Let me just say that expecting to start with astro ships like some of you are suggesting is simply a return to the old unbalanced aspect of the game before. It's an unreal expectation and would ruin the balance from the start.That is most definitely not going to happen.
    Furthermore the fact that veteran players know where to go, what to do and all to get a jump ahead on everyone else is also possibly ridiculous. We simply do not know if the game mechanics will be the same as before. From the looks of things, there will be many changes, possibly even how the game works.
    For all we know the entire world may be accessible from the start, meaning SEA and EA could be accessible to all from the beginning. We just simply do not know what is to come. Do not harbor unreal expectations of what is to be.
    If you loved this game before, then learn to love it all over again for the sake of the community and give it a chance or do the rest of us a favor and quit.

    How can rewards be tiered if the data is gone?

    Nothing can compensate me for the thousands of discoveries made!
    I will play but wont spend a cent and definitely wont offer my years of experience to new players they bring in, they are on their own. 
    I give it 2 years, max 3 before Gama is dead with this wipe so no point spending real money on it.
    And Papaya if you think this is a good idea, we vets WILL break the economy much faster that you realise could be possible to do so. We know this game and know how to get  stuff and make ducats, and we will-

    The idea of everyone starting on equal footing with a wipe is ridiculous. There will always be newbies in a game and the older or more advanced players who have put time,money,etc into the game will always be ahead of a newb just starting.....sooo..are they going to reset the game every year to keep newbs happy?

    Wow, so I just read about this and how uwo got closed from ogp. I started playing this game when I was 13 or 14 can not remember, when it was in beta. I am about to be 21 and this is just crazy, I didn't even know that my character and everything is getting reset. Looks like its time to quit this game for good, nothing to make me come back now. :P

    levels dont say much in UWO, rather skill ranks, discoveries, money, items, and ships...
    leveling is easy comparing to these.

    Hi, everyone complaining about this should maybe read up about online games.
    I called this out 3 months ago along with the company/wipe happening and got bashed for saying it in game.
    I also requested this wipe on another post,
    I thank this company, it is doing for the game  not the players biased opinions and suggestions.

    I believe the compensation need to be fair, the Founder reward should be differentiated .People who played longer time say 5 years the reward should be better than those who only played 1-2 years.
