The new direction

I’m not sure what to do even if I do return.
I had my main set up for nanban and could make all cannons and armour.
And my alt i was grinding to pirate.
I can’t be bothered grinding the crafting skills yet so I will actually likely fall behind new ones :/
So the obvious thing is to just focus on the pirate then right?
But a lot of the pirate skills are in countries I can’t access now, and not only that who will be going in to hostile waters?
They say they have sorted pvp/pirate and DB but unless Europe becomes hostile waters it’s gonna be a good while before and pvp will start.
I do want to continue to play but I can’t be bothered trading or casting and pvp seems light years away.
