CPC'S Predictions of how the new UWO will be.


Well we all know about the wipe now and it's time to start looking at what is to come now and how to overcome it. 


Changes Due to Population..
 
First the population will be much much much smaller like I predict about half of what it was on OGP...this is a scary thought but a very likely one as result of this the player base mentality will change as well.   This will go from many players knowing about all the ins and outs of the game to a very few all the legends and tales of old will be rare ie.Sea Legend, House of Oranje, Dog, Hughes De Paynes, GM Annaliese etc. all these things will be unknown to most of the new players.  Secondly many new players will come to the game and flock to the remaining veterans as they will be the new rare keepers of knowledge and an extremely valuable resource in a way like demigods.  There will be a lot of fighting and anger at first due to the wipe but it's expected but will slowly taper off can't fight if you're busy.  We will also see a lot of the Old "leaders" of the server keep replaced by new ones as they simply decided to stay while old ones left a huge shake-up.


What we'll be doing...

The remaining veterans will be busy VERY busy remaking companies investing in ports unlocking permits, building themselves up again and trying to teach new people how to play at the same time as a level 1.  Piracy will be non existent at first as nobody will be strong enough to do it then it will pick up later. There will be a mad dash to re grind ship building as these will all be wiped out the first people to become R20 SBer will be the gods of the server they will be worshipped almost and likely be the ones new companies will form around. I predict much grinding and less just sitting around chatting there will simply be too much to do at first.  Many new players from Papaya will join steadily and old pirates will return but will be in more of a teaching role...

Economy...

All prices will plummet dramatically 100k for aide food nope not any more we will all be back to pre dungeon prices and all the old price checks will be null and void. There will be a huge race to get nanban unlocked as this will be the main source of getting ducats into the game. Spice Trade will be popular again dungeons as well.  Crafters will be extremely valuable we'll be grinding these first I think and will be a valuable resource and people will become cheap with their money not the super greedy wasteland that Seville was previously. I predict a resurgence of weaker astrology ships like CLR and CTC which Papaya will milk us for until better ships are released.


Will UWO fail and crumble?

No...it will be much weaker and smaller at first and I think we will not see it truly blossom again until about 6 months to a year.  UWO IF Papaya stays true to the game design and doesn't push pay to win and Koei doesn't remove incentive...I see It recovering.  The few remaining vets will work hard to hold it all together and will succeed I predict just will be slow...VERY SLOW.

    I just think we are going to struggle for vigor food to really hit the grind for skills.

    for me   i see no reason to return.   7 years down the drain  and thousands of dollars too. i just dont think i can do it again.   and i see the return of piracy rules ultimately  killing uwo.    i havent made up my mind yet  but for now i am leaning towards   saying goodbye.    losing all that i worked for  is heartbreaking. and to see some troll like frozenruby take joy from our pain makes it even worse.

    History repeating itself, will not get too immense again if I ever come back.
    Will see how commit Papaya into managing UWO for first few months.

    No way this game will survive for another two years.  Honestly, the graphics and UI were obsolete on launch and they really have never seen an update, nor will they now that a large chunk of the paying players are going to be either leaving or not spending any money on this game anymore. 

    Consumer confidence in this product is totally shot.  You don't recover from that in most cases....

    It wont be easy or quick and the wipe WILL hurt the server but UWO will recover IF and Only if they fix the problems with balance,  economy and incentive. If they do that UWO will recover eventually but it will take a WHILE

    I wish the other players good luck in rebuilding UWO. I may stay for a lil while just to see how things go, and Im curious to see what papayaplay has to offer, but i dont want to spend all that time again re-grinding. I dont see UWO lasting long either, but thats just IMO. I could very well be wrong.

    UWO can last if we all pull together and work on rebuilding it and that wont be easy might take a year to make it back to SEA and Ea but will get us there someday

    good    how many ships and accounts did you all hack or scam from  Fanky' Islam  Kantemir  idar  rymple  BARBAROSSA  how many names did you use?     
    did you stop scamming?  cause when i called you all out the reaction was not of  hey we are innocent  more of being angry that you were exposed.  
    so the question is   do you plan to continue to try to scam or rip people off?  or play like everyone else.  can you all even be trusted?  these are legit questions.

    Not  u CCP The ppl who told ppl not question the wipe and shamed people asking about a wipe then decided to quit when it didn't go their way they decided to quit  they KNOW who they are!

    I will be there as I am a vet and I will do what I can to help rebuild since we all are a part of this and yes I am not happy about the wipe or have to re do the boring schools but will do what I can. Even if I have to re grind sewing and refine it again and do handi and casting and cooking I will do my best

    Continue to play and you will be convinced that you do not know me and have never crossed with me in the game. I never deceived anyone, and unfortunately I do not have the knowledge to break into someone's account. I assure you that no one will ever tell you that Adelinka cheated someone. Without you and other veterans, really without jokes, it will be much more boring to play. Experienced and knowledgeable players are very necessary for a quick recovery of the game, and developing it in the right direction.

    wasnt   Adelinks most common shout "  WTB Any and all Astro ships pm me"  So i tested u once and pmed u with the accurate price for a decent astro ship, and u responded with half price.  So yes i can confirm that u were trying ur best to buy as many ships from noobs as possible as cheap as possible.  Any and all people who do that i will totally put ur name on blast on public channels as well as on the forums. i won't hide ur name i'll risk the punishment if any from papaya to make sure you won't be doing that again.

    I am Adelinka, in game from 2011, have few little alts for storage, play only from Adelinka always. 
    All mistakes of children was in 12-14 years. 
    They are all young children, I can not control all their operations, whether they are correct or not, I do not know, since I do not follow it. They play as they want, if GM considers this a violation, then it will punish.
    I do not justify some of their actions, maybe I do not know everything, because I did not play for 2 years and returned 2 -3 months ago to the game. But I am 100% sure and I know that they are not involved in the accusations in the case of Marquise. In the case of Naver, he himself is also to blame, prematurely poured Fanky 'mud on the forum and in the chat, for which he received the appropriate punishment. As for me, you never even talked to me and you do not know me to hang a label on me. If you continue, then know that I do not care. And know, I never changed my name and I'm not going to.
    I want to lose all resentment and anger, focus on the development of the game, combine the knowledge, experience and efforts of all veterans and direct their speedy restoration of the game. Do you have the power to do this? I'm ready to take the first step.

    lol apple never falls far the tree, if ur kids are acting like that, it's cause they are doing what they've seen done.  If my kids play this, and someone came to me and said, hey ur son scam'd my ship. I'd look into it, and if my son did scam, first off i'd beat his arse just as if u'd been caught stealing from a store, then i'd make him give it back, AND i'd make him every 1 hr do a public shout "Don't loan me ships i will scam them"  Even if he quit, i'd make him log on and to that every hour for like a month.  The fact that u don't know what ur kids are doing, frankly means u don't care.  Good job educating the youth. :D

The ship costs so much for how much it is bought by the buyer, and not how much the seller is sorry. Because of the way you resellers and collapsed UWO, so I was always against astro-ships. 2. Who are you to test someone and put them on the blacklist, who do you think you are? 3. NEVER and ANYONE I did not deceive, and always only helped beginners quickly and the most useful to pass the school.

    And yes, you're right, I do not care what happens to people like Naver. Without waiting for the player who was preparing for the exams for 3 days, he doused it with dirt wherever he could, although he himself was not clean. Before that they exchanged hundreds of times ships. And when Fanky 'came in and saw all this he took revenge on him, and that was right. Yes, I had to beat, but beat Naver. And I say it again, I do not care. The people I play with know who I am and that I will never deceive anyone. And as you were trolls, you stayed.

    How you coming on here to say bye?  Seriously, if u've taken the time to make just 1 post u will take the time to reDL the game, and then u'll log in, and then u'll play.  Only the peeps u don't see posting are the ones who mite leave.  If u've seen them here or on that poll, they will log back in.

    You don't continue to show up to football practice just to tell everyone u quit.  You just stay home. :D

    @adelina  so your saying you didn't do shouts like "WTB any and all astro ships"  If so i'm thinking of the wrong person but i don't think so.  Adelinka if that is ur name, i trolled u on my alts many times cause of those "scammer type wtb's"  and yes ships have a "normal" price.  You don't get to personally make the price of a ship, even if ur selling it, YOU DON'T MAKE THE PRICE.  The price is set by the people in merc chat, who do the PC's and dicuss the rareness and how much others have sold, and peeps usually come to agreements on that price.  If merc chat decides that a ship is worth 4b ticket, and ur only offering 2b ticket cause "you want that price"  that's kinda scamming.  And with new server reset, and new influx of people we need to watch out for those scammers. Nothing kills a new player then for them to get something nice from paychest, just to find out someone talked them into selling it for half price.  We aren't allowed to post SS's with names on OGP forums, wonder if that's the same here.  If so we can maybe use Facebook UWO to post and inform people about known scammers.
