New start ship guide.

So I was a spoiled bratt and got an nc ship pretty quickly.

Don’t know much about the ships from ship yard since all the ships I bought nc and normal were already modded.

Can someone with knowledge give an overview of what is available and what an adventurer, trader and maritimer should be looking to buy.

    First step don't be a peasant. :P
    Get a COg or something. Then do the school quests for the sloops and stuff.
    Then trade,battle or adventure till the Xebecs.
    Then the rest is quite simple. :)
    Go for 52/52/52 and get the relevent ships. :)

    The school ships are great until you advance pretty far as a shipbuilder, and I don't mean until you can build a TLG, I wouldn't give 2 cents for a TLG if it was needed to do anything but sit in port and hold cargo temporarily. When you can build a Vaisseau or Clipper you'll be ready to move past the school ships.

    The way it progressed last time we started fresh, alot of the time you had the levels unlocked before anyone on the server could craft the ship. This was at the very start, more than likely all the experienced asian players using the gama server were the suppliers, and each of them would unlock new ships at roughly the same times so the prices were mostly resonable due to atleast some competition.

    This time around it will be different ofcourse but i imagine something similar will happen, youl be using the ships available at the main cities, depending on the amount of investment happening the port.

    Certain ports will have ships unlocked assuming players develop that city. Some skills needed for player crafting certain ships also relies on port development.

    I plan to finish all beginner schools to get all cards then will complete 2 job quests to get cards and finish Intermediate adventure school to get Memorial Cruise Sloop. Since UWO resets, I probably will aim Transport Swift Schooner/BTS for trading/adventurer as well as rowing ship for maritimer.

    why the cruise sloop? for battle the maritime sloop is better,for speed the trade sloop is faster

    I will use it for Marseilles BR that's what I did with 2 toons before OGP shut down.
