Anyone else interested in rolling with france for the new UWO? My old character Davincio will make a comeback and try to lead the french nation to glory once again!
It tends to be an underdog nation much like the venice, but the location of the french ports are ideal. So many haters about the new server but i couldnt be more excited. The games best features were all ruined by overpowered cash shop items, if this doesnt happen again we are in for a great time!
If anyone interested in starting a company together or just plans to roll french, either way we should start the communication asap!

Had i known what i know now, i may have chosen a different path for sure, but France is not a bad pick. I wont give away all my secrets until i see the french flag waving over your ship though^^
Honestly im tempted to find other like minded players and possibly switch nations but that would be hard because i just know the mediterranean so well. id get the quickest start and refreshing my memory of all the things ive forgotten over the years will happen faster if i stick to france.
I think they are going to add proper forums before the 18th i hope, it will be easier to try and recruit like minded players.
Anyone else planning to go with the French? lets marvel teamup! I already noticed a few seemingly experienced players who will roll as a French sailor. A few more players like myself and we really have something good happening.

I will be using Ancona and Zadar for this being Venetian. I look forward to our investment battles in the Mediterranean.
we should discuss possible cities each nation will be looking into so we can avoid going over total investments to max city.

it honestly only takes a few good players to make the difference. I too am definatly looking forward to all the new relationships i will be forming... these are the things about UWO i liked the most. If papaya doesnt overpower the cash shop we are going to have years of good times!
if they advertise the game it should all play out like it did the last time for the most part(playercounts), this is all assumptions until we see what happens ofcourse!

With what they give as founder, i can stand like 3 years without put a single penny in the game.

France has many benefits, the one i like the most is the number of towns nearby. Its much easier to scout out when a city is having a market spike and requesting a specific goods to be sold. ( BIG EXP AND CASH)
The other best thing about france is it has everything, not the best place for crafting anything but its a good place to train all the crafting and trade skills without having to go very far. Ive seen mars>genoa paying off over 1 million per trip, this is very rare anywhere else in such a short distance. Alcohol is lucrative for short range trades. Bordeau>nantes in the north is so good at food and alcohol trade, you can max your skills out very quickly here. The volumes of good available on these 2 towns seems higher than elsewhere.
Obviously im trying to sway others to come join the French nation. Each nation has similar benefits and drawbacks.
I wish we had proper forums already so we could start to organize our company recruiting.

I will restart the company in Marseilles after leading it for 4 1/2 years and bring it from 8 to some 45 members during that time.
Company rules were and will be:
1st Treat others as you want to be treated
2nd No piracy or privateering allowed.
(you may always defend yourself of course. We avoided PvP outside ESF and history events which was a successful policy in keeping us out of feuds and keep drama at a minimum.)
3rd deliver contributions every cycle
(in the past I and other veterans crafted contributions when sensibly feasable and gave free to members. Now we all start as newbies again but we will work towrds the old way of doing it.)
We prefer active French players (French in game, players from all nations irl)
and previous members have priority if space should be tight
LesRebellesFrancais is mainly a company of Traders and Adventurers
with a tradition to help new players
We will cooperate with other French companies to rebuild our nation.
And with others to rebuild the UWO world

What company were you in ? When did you play? Your name Davincio does not readily ring a bell with me. I have been active and leading LRF since May2013 to end of September2017 hosting and had many contacts to French companies in Marseilles (among them many company directors).
@aceman39 Marseilles or the mediterranean is a good region to develop sewing and also handicraft.
For sewing you can buy ducks in Montpellier to pluck feathers or make wool from sheeps or mohair from goates. Processing wool (wollen cloth, knitwear) which you can also buy in valencia gets you rank 5 from there on you can also process cotton which you get in tripoli and also alexandria and cairo.
as of r8 you can make muslin which i guess is one of the most efficient recipes to grind sewing (1 wool + 1 cotton = low quantity needed and high rank recipe) to ranks where it gets interesting to go to india to process silk thread. If you like collecting you can collect cotton (r5 collect) outside tripoli. Later you can collect silk thread in arabia.

I created the Investissement Coalition, not right away but after some months passed. And we were quite sucessfull at puting most of the mediterranean under the french flag for a time!
There seems to be more than a few experienced players returning for France, things are looking good and ive been quite active on the forums to judge. Ive only confirmed 2 others for my new company but ive been holding out for proper forums rather then constantly bumping up this thread.
I was The GA for france that netmarble recruited before they suddenly one day just eneded that program and soon after sold off the rights to the game to OGP.
Do you know if some Tabarnacos will be there at the relaunch ?
