Poll: Coming back? Not coming back? Undecided? Post here!

Hi folks,
It's been a tough few days, but I hope you're all doing well. I wanted to take a few minutes to post a poll regarding the status of veteran players. Completely voluntary, so don't feel like this is a representative sample, as I know the vast majority of those who have left are already out the door.
Feel free to complete the poll with or without your name, and feel free to make use of the comments section at the bottom. This might serve to help each of us know what veterans are coming back, which ones we should give proper sendoffs to, etc.

As for myself, I'm still undecided at this point. While I think it could be fun to rebuild, particularly if PP holds true to the statement about rebooting PvP/piracy/etc., the cost just might be too high for me, particularly given the game's longterm prognosis. So maybe getting some data and seeing what other folks are doing will help sway me.

I am looking at other games.
It just the whole process from the way it was done, being done.
They are not upfront with the information and they are not addressing the problems felt in the community already.
This feels like they will never will listen to us.
They have not make one statement here in the forum, I am willing to bet that some of the people at OG are here Papaya
Play the game or not, as the server wipers say.
No one can say this is a good start.
I suppose I will wait to see what they do with PvP and then make a decision. If they do truly reset that to NM-era rules, I could possibly get on board. If not, I just don't see the reason and don't see us lasting more than 6 months past relaunch (although I hope to be wrong about that).

There is no other games that appeal to me tho, it was this or nothing.
I’m not in to all the shooting, spell casting type of games.
But I enjoyed this one.
Think I’ll give it a go, grind away, Get casting and make some cannons to kit out my grad ship and run BR’s
At least it will feel quick to us compared to the newer ones :)
The polls are mixed ,but I think some players will change their miind to quit or join later which will depend on outcome of relaunch.
Since starting playing UWO in April 2013 I have never been away from it for more than a week and probably not more than 40 days in total in those 4 1/2 years. I just loved the game and the community.
At the moment I just feel very sad about the loss of all that I have been working for over such a long time and the loss of so many good and helpful people that made UWO such a nice community.
Starting back from square 1 is very hard when you had 2 toons with maxed (=refined to meister) crafting skills. (Btw do we know yet whether we will be confined to 1 character or whether we can have 2 or 3 toons active same time? )
Even harder when you consider that the world is not nearly as developed as i knew it. Harder yet when you have no idea how many of my friends might be back.
Even harder considering that Papaya may just drop the game after a year or 2 when they see they dont finde enough players spending real money in the game (due to the huge loss of trust caused by the server wipe).
I just dont know yet whether i will have the heart to start again at square 1 when I have no idea whether it will all be lost again in a year or 2..
Whatever OGP may have done wrong or not good enough in the past. When they started to host UWO they took it over from Netmarble as it was and didnt wipe the server. I have to say my trust in Papaya is very low atm.

If it helps, I've seen some of the people who are leaving on Facebook at the UWO fan group run by WalkerDePlank and others. If you ask to join it, even if it was just for a bit, you might be able to reconnect with and say hi to some of the friends you've made. I'm sure the friends you made are missing you, too.
I will probably play bc I hate giving up on a hard game. Still things I want to do.
Still not the 18th yet.
It would be bit of mad house for the next few months doing stuff all over again.

For me, I am still uncertain. I love this game and want to see it do well, but the intangibles and adversities it will face are just so daunting that I don't know if I can do it again. Yeah, the astro package is nice, but regardless of how many astro items they give us, it will never be enough.

I know you will make your own decision and I will respect that, but I know the Player base will need someone like you to guide them, even if your doing the exact same trade runs as a new player and they don't really know who you are, they will need you to guide them. this is daunting the tasks we will have in front of us, heck I am choosing to start Venetian.. because I know not many will and we need those ports developed.
So Caddy, I am challenging you to come back, not only lurk but be that voice you have been before so that those who still love the game can get it back to where it was hopefully in record time. I know 7N RR20 SBer was a daunting task. and this go around it will be even more daunting because where will you start, which nation will be the strongest. the weakest. when will you have enough fame to change.
Or will you not become a SBer this go around and focus on other jobs. What would Caddy do?
Also I haven't seen Buffet. Is he/she kicking around here, buffet was a investing guru and I hope returns so we can get this development underway.
