I think everyone worries to much. I am going to enjoy the game like before and now that it will be more of a challenge I will probably play more. Personally I love a good challenge. Yeah it's going to have its negative and positives but at the end of the day its still exciting and is a great game. Things won't be as easy as they were before but it will still be fun IMO. AlsoI bet when I start this time some random guy won't drop me 5mil ducats haha.

come on now, those skills aren't hard. Sailhandling = long, but u now grind it constant when sailing, Steering, = i think was better the old way cause u could actually grind it, so that will take a long time, Rowing = cause u only get points per day and it's very low. Accounts = cause u only get couple points per successful haggle. and of course SB, but we got new oxford so basically once u get that cuts time in half, and the 50% we didn't have caddi we'll enjoy that. but ur disco and appraisal skills = easy to rank, just hit the archieves every town u stop at and do some quests, Battle skills arent to hard. melee skills take a while doing ghost grind and we'll need nanban rewards for those, so i don't see any max melee for a yr. Alchemy i don't look forward to do again thou, that's about the only one i really don't wanna redo

I will not be returning if they do a wipe. I have spent far too much money, and more importantly, far too much time developing my accounts to start from scratch. Yes, vanilla PvP would be nice, but I can find PvP in other games that don't require months/years of grinding and thousands upon thousands of dollars to be competitive in.

I think the reset will be the final blow to the game and I can see it closing down before the end of 2018.

From looking at the poll, i'd say the return of piracy more-so than server wipe is causing peeps to not want to play. 90% of those not returning who used the poll are vocal anti-pirates. So i'm glad they are gone, cause all u'd see in merc chat is them crying about not leaving seville again cause of plunder. :D Good thing, i think minecraft servers are still up and running for those peeps to have something to do :D

I started off with a Dutch toon in 2010. Had a lot of help from a lot of good people (special shout-out to the KnightsOfOld crew). In the 7 years I've been playing, the thing I remember the most is how fun it was. Adventuring was my all time favorite thing to do. Dungeon running. Shipwrecks. Just sailing out in the open waters with a crew taking wine to Japan.

After looking back at all those good times, there just isn't any way possible for me to never play the game again. I will be back. I will start from scratch. It's about the journey, not the destination.

There won't be any piracy for a week or longer at least as outside EU is inaccessable.. and ranking shipbuilder is a pain to do, unless the founder boost eases that a lot. One thing for sure... I love the Shipbuild Efficience, so it saves us half of the normal time now :B

Jesus!! I leave the game for a few months and you all just drop the ball!! Haha kidding, this sucks but i was a part timer so i kind of welcome this reset. I didnt put as much money into this as Caddy ,Roiber or alot of you did, that would hurt the most. Sorry guys that sucks I feel for you. Im just hoping this renewal wont go back to "using the toilet costing 3 billion dollars" when you can only really make pennies in traditional ways. I started the game back in 2009 but didnt really get into until I dumped hundreds of dollars into it. I met alot of fine people in game and hope to see alot of you back in there.

In my case, I love the game also, so I'll play again. I wasn't around when the server was fresh the first time so I'm looking forward to it. I've seen many of the oldies say that it was tough and that they won't be going through it again, but I just think that if they were able to shape it without any knowledge, then we still have it easier.

So for everyone that left, they were just an emotional shipwreck to say the least. Just out of reading comments on complaints about their items shows that they weren't interested in the health and state of the game but rather their own achievements. And further more you can tell that they don't understand that all of the items they had weren't theirs to begin with. They were just borrowing them, atm they belong to papaya and if they say it's lost, well then it's lost,

And for anyone who thinks that something they've done in an online game will magically stay there forever, hah, don't tell anyone that you'll make a fool of yourself. The money you spend on a game is just you buying a temporary fun, nothing more. When people stop spending money on this game the same thing will happen, but, next time there might not be a Gama server.

Im starting over its no big deal so we all lost a lot of time and items so what we can get them back.
And this time around lets hope for a better player market rates and not get back to the 20b to 60b ships

the game needed a restart imo to fix just how broke the game became and i hope they dont let people sail with alts that hurts the game as well.
storage alts is ok but just no sailing with them

I am logging back in But I will not be a SB r20 or Bounty Hunter or Filibuster. I find it very Emotional to determine weather I want to release time and money to the new server to wonder if this same scenario plays out in our next Host. I find myself wondering if they are going to have more than one server. But for personal issues I am thinking of turning off the Display names under settings to introduce a more in depth player sensation of playing a 16th-20th century Sailing game. Blocking the random shouts that come with new ship releases and "wanted" Items. And I will go back to Sipping Coffee and playing my MMO Uncharted Waters Online.

OMG the ship doesn't make the character, the player makes the character. Yes i'd love my maxmod G6 LLM since we got plunder and deckbattle, but then again gladly give up G6LLM, G6CHC, G6ANG, G6RWJ, not to mention 2 ILFS's, 3 toons all capable of sailing a 1300 cargo GF I had 95% of skills ingame maxed between those 3 toons. And it ment nothing. To me the server had become bland and boring. Now I'll be in some other smaller ship, but i'll able to enjoy my time playing. Yes some of you don't care for the excitement of meeting apirate in hostil waters or the fact you mite lose some gear/parts. And i ask you? Why did u start playing a game you knew could do that. Yes few of you started AFTER the pirate nerfs and i'm sorry to those and only those. Cause at the time they started they were playing a game they liked and it's changed. Well that happened to us too. Cause the game i fell inlove with got changed. But i did not quit. Yes i complained and posted and did what i could to keep attention on the fact that i believe we need piracy. When i first started my brothers profession ingame was sail maker. That's what he loved to do. He loved to craft sails with his r20 sewing. That's basically all he did and he enjoyed it. I know peeps who used to play for the sole purpose of building and modding ships, cause that's what they loved to do. Both those "professions" got removed ingame. But they are back. You just wanna craft items to sell to support to adventure bug, you can. You wanna play just to make and mod ships, you can. Now some will be like, well u could do that anyway... yea you could, but good luck selling any of that shite. Now their will be big market for ingame crafting items. Simple items like Close Helm's will be wanted. Gold and Silver armours will be wanted. And if ur lucky enuff to plunder some books, anything that's 100 atk or defense (boot/glove makers) u'll be able to sell. FYI 100dGloves used to be one of the most expensive items to make and sell ingame. during netmarble they were 2b, and they were even plunderable. That was the holy grail of plunder back then. Getting some 2b gloves :D Boy that was a payday :D

Whether or not I come back depends on what this reset is all about. For those of you never did the "IQ Reset", meaning, you can already get port permits without a whole bunch of fleets doing 1000 IQs before the port permit is available to your nation, for EACH nation, including Ottoman, if you've never done that before, you'll see how tedious that is.

A decent Speed ship, MLS or MLMS would be my preference and a decent Battle ship for battlers. I had just modded my Refitted Morgan and got it to G3 and my MSR to G3 finally, 2 days before they announced the server closure.not to mention my aide ship. I tend to agree it feels more like being betrayed off the bat. I was in same as many others that I had worked very hard to get many skills refined and I was only a 2 N SB but still it is a blow. I think it would at least be nice to have all of my skills returned to me even if to start at square one. Crafting is my thing, but that will be a lot of hours to even get close to the point I was at. so I don't know. I'm going to see what it's like and give it a little time but not sure I will stay. Going to be a long while before I spend cash on the game again that is for sure.

Well this change of company in UWO did caught me by surprise because i didn't had come to the game for a while but i wanted to come back and finish my ship mods, unfornatelly that won't happen. I'am kinda sad to lose all that progress but i think since i can't enjoy any other game and i had this one in mid and with my konwledge of the game i might be able to atleast speed up the process by a bit, and lets see if we don't fuck up the economy again but thats not only up to me.

Well if any of other veteran players that i had on my JRS98 avatar friend list wish to come back, well i hope we can see each other again.
