As a 6 year vet of UWO I can say that this will not replace all the time I've invested in grinding skills, doing quests, acquiring rare and valuable items etc. but it is still a decent effort by Papaya and I it will help get us kickstarted.
I am not a fan of the reset but I'm being optimistic that it will allow us a fresh start with hopefully an improved game which will make everyone happy in the long run.

Anyone complaining that this puts some on an uneven playing field, you weren't before so you shouldn't be now. Some of us have invested thousands of hours over the course of 6-7 years on this game, we shouldn't be treated equally to someone who has only been playing for a few months. As of Oct. 18th we'll all be 1/1/1.

How many can person have with them is the question.

At least, you will have opportunity to play err sailor's bottles (they probably will have different version or OGP did mention they tried to implement it) to win NC ships because you will receive 700 UWC per month depend on your total levels.

I plan to spend 1/3 of Cheques or so for investment to get books and accessories then unlock some contents.

are they basing these levels off OGP accounts or Steam/OGP accounts? We still don't have any idea as to what they are doing with our Steam accounts..... the lack of information is astounding.....

I only started playing for a few days before the changeover but as a steam player doesn't look I can benefit right now, wouldn't have minded a boosted start, ah well.

They've said they'll continue the industrial revolution chapters on the normal schedule, which ofc indicates they are suffering from some serious mental challenges given the complete reset.

We will still be in the Industrial Revolution. They will even be adding new content to it with the next update. Most of said content will probably be out of our reach for some time to come, however.

The initial reward looks like something they should give for graduating all the schools. Long time players either spend real moneys or they don't and that won't change. If newer players were given millions of ducats on graduation, with boost items thrown in, it might tempt them into buying similar items after they've used free ones. Kind of why companies give special deals for new customers and it works. They key is to lure new customers with the service and convince them to purchase the product. Papaya could have had happy veterans and much happier beginners. Instead they have very unhappy veterans and will probably continue to lose at least half of the new players each month - the loss won't be Papaya's fault, it's just part of running a game like UWO.

Since founders is not for new players, I have to wonder if 7, 1 day boosts would be better than 1, 7 day boosts. When I started 7 years ago, if it was summer, I could put in some serious play time every day. Now, if I was going to continue, I might have a couple days of a few hours, but the boosts would be wasted on the other days when I wouldn't be able to do more then an hour of play. I guess it's not important though since the founder's gifts are sort of like paying for a Corvette and the dealership gives you a Spark with some free options thrown in. It's like "oh, joy. 7 years of busting my bottom to achieve something, and now I have a barca."

I do have to sign in on the 18th. I owe it to my toon, plus walking around London for awhile will be good for a cry and closure on all the wonderful, and not so wonderful, times from the past. I'll even miss the grrrrr times. It's more hurt than anger because I do want the game to succeed so that others can have as much fun as so many of us were fortunate to experience before disaster struck.

Are they going to start the game over with chapter one? will we get to do Atlantis again? or will this start in the industrial revolution?

Papaya already announced that they will upgrade to Age Of Reasons that will add Research @ Boston, Clermont (steam ship), and others. Since we will play Age of Reasons (CH3), we have plenty of contents such as mysterious boxes, immigrant quests, ticket sellers, steam ship, and etc while Steam Engineer and Trainer will be add ,but none of us can get those job right now.

I see there are two categories of Founders Rewards.

Total level, ok I get that. It is my adventure level + my trade level + my maritime level.

But my job level? How do I calculate that? Can someone offer a clear explanation to me in complete sentences and without using any abbreviations?

LOL tell em CPC, the grind back to SB won't be that hard, and the benefit of being one of the first r19's :D GL getting that book, til after i get me one and sell the second, will be huge cause u'll have all the clients u have time for. Used to being max SB was an accomplishment. Not like before transfer where most where sb's. Also u can easily mod ships at lower levels. Just so funny, those who are spoiled by the fact that others like myself did all this before they got here are the ones complaining about it. Being able to start the game and in a month ur doing nanban??? get real, your welcome for that. Now those of us who did it before will do it again, and the rest of ya'll staying or coming back can now be apart of that. Always said UWO is a lifestyle not a game. That'll be more evident now as most of us will be not only working on our characters, but working on rebuilding the world u fell in love with. I think us veterans deserve more thanks and praise for the work we know we must do. I did think i would use this to make money by charging peeps as i pull all the jobs and unlock all the EA dungeons, but i think i will do this for free to the ones i see working on the game. So it would be smart to start making posts with guides on how and what to do to get the world back. Like the IQ's for the different areas, the only thing i've seen on that is "oh it'll take you longer than u think, it takes more than 1 IQ" How about someone who remembers excatly how all that was done start making guides for that.
