All private farms are capable of producing iron ore, coal, and graphite FYI.

Savaii is best for sewing as it can produce silk threads, hemp, sisal, and flax

Unalaska (the one in the East Bering sea) is best for alchemy as it can produce green ore, mandrake, salt, and silver

Ascension and Saint Lucia are close by to Europe and have a similar set of trade goods, but Saint Lucia is geared a bit towards Cooking, while Ascension is a geared a bit towards Handicrafts. The dont offer a more exciting range of goods like the other that are further away from Europe.

yes I understand all can produce iron ore coal and graphite, my question was how many mines in it can produce those.. only 1 mine for each... 2 mines.. 3 mines..

WTF ?! I already gave explanation for each farms from Laviol's older topic which escaped me atm. I also gave links for those @ Handy UWO links.

Diego Garcia- It has all color ores that you can do handicrafts with color jewelry books. Precious Metals book can convert white/yellow ores into Silver and Gold. However, it has lack of selections beside Mining. I chose 5 Exotic Fruits/Large Leaves/Bark/Berries and 2 Cattle/Pigs/Sheeps then 2 Goats/Deer. I probably will use this same again. Exotic Fruits/Large Leaves/Bark/Berries are useful for storage or even cooking.

One of my toons will get Wetland Rice and Spring Waters because I can make MST with Blue Ores, Spring Waters, and Boulders (collect them at SA land points. Spring Waters are rather annoyed me because it's quickly fill to 999 then forced me to discard or put into vault/storage.

Ancension- It's heavy rely on Handicrafts and Storage, but it has decent cooking ie Tuna Olive Steak and Salted Fish with Nuts. It has Senna, Fragrant Woods, and Apricot Seeds.

You can buy Camomile at Amsterdam then make Surgeon's secret Elixir with this, Senna, and Apricot Seeds that need for Artisan quest. Oh, it has resin that needs to make suede for advanced farming tools at Gojin. Suede is also useful for casting and handicraft recipes.

Savaii- Indeed, it's useful for sewing ,but it has only 4 farms while it has Silk, Sisal Hemps, Purple Tyrian (Useful for Nanban). At least, it has 6 farms even though most players probably go with 6 Wools, Leahers, and Furs. Then you can go with 3 or 4 Tuna/Sardines/Purple Tyrian and 1 trio color ores.

St. Lucia- It's focus on cooking and storage. It doesn't have specialty trade goods ,but it does have most yields. Like I mean you can get 18 Tuna ,but if you go with 5 Tuna/Sardines/Salt that means you can get 90 Tuna everyday. It also has Resin. It also has decent sewing because you can get Cottons/Hemps, 96 Sheep, 90 Chickens.

East Berring Sea- Indeed, it's useful for alchemy ,but it does have Pepper, King Salmon (that needs to make vig foods from North Seafood book r13), Silver, Sugar Beets, and Potatoes.

You can go get a farm right away, most people changed them around they are handy as ports too.

Also at Unalaska, you can farm King Salmon and Tuna with relative ease once you reach about 250 on the development level of your Wharf area. Of course, unless you're planning on making Smoked Salmon and/or Bagel Sandwiches, that may or may not be an incentive to ya...

@LyonesseJoseph, just a minor fix to what you're saying
Unalaska (the bering sea farm) doesn't have pepper, it has red chillies, or at least that's the short experience I had during the last weeks of OGP UWO

King Salmon doesn't seem that great when you can have Tuna and make Tuna Olive Steak which can be made into tinned tuna olive for better storage. But that's just my opinion...

I don't really see any use for sugar beets but at least with potatoes you can get a headstart into making pachamanca dressed with maca (no farm makes maca iirc)
The silver output is small, I don't think even at 1k farm "experience" (i forgot the name) it can make 2 digit silver per mine, and you'll probably want some mines making iron ore / graphite / coal
Getting sulphur, cinnabar and silver, plus mandrake is really helpful for alchemy, but I don't I'll be getting into that clustermess of a skill this time... or MAYBE I will... I never learn anyway
