realistic expectations

i want to see what people think of how soon we will see these things return to uwo  or how fast we can accomplish certain things.
how long to open port permits and gain access to all ports?   for me i think it will take about 2 weeks  as i personally wont be on everyday
how long until we have our first r20 sb?   considering the need for rare item plunder for the  SSB+1 book/
how long until 7 nation r20?  i think minimum month to month and half.
how long to develop caribbean colony ports  - ambon -run  spice islands?
how long til we see first skill refinements. 2 weeks
alchemy- how long til we see  FAB back and ex items return???  i say here 2 months easy
piracy  how long til we see first acts?   for this i say maybe week or 2 depending on players
All these things depend on player cooperation in nation development and rebuilding. some players will focus on rebuilding themselves  some will focus on rebuilding their nation. some will focus on the entire population.
the main idea i am geting at is that we do need to work together  SB will need maritimers to plunder book in order for r20-  not to mention plunder of improved rope processed lumber book and the casting  secrets books to make 100 atk weapons.  adventurers are gonna be needed to dig up precious gears. crafters are gonna be needed to produce  cannons  sails and equipments. food and the like.  cooperation will be needed her as well
in my opinion realistically it will take some time to even get a fraction of content back to where we were. i dont foresee anyone going to boston and riding the train for a month easy maybe 2  new content  how long til you expect to see people getting to that point

I can have sewing ranked and refined in a bout a week it is the opening of St Petersburg that might take the time And as I work on sewing I can work on SB as soon as I get it. But that takes a lot of time and money to rank. I agree with you on opening the ports, Well it is how fast people start going to Hostile waters for pirates to act. I agree we all need to work together I am gonna work on SB and sewing in London and go from there and invest money as I can since we don't have the flow of money we was getting before.

i see folks posting about getting things done fast  and it is possible but i think we need to have honest expectations. this will not be easy  and with fewer players than we had before and no clue on how many new player we can get  or even keep.   things to think about

I agree and we can hope for new players to join and we can help them learn so they stay in the game and help them grow and prosper so they can enjoy them selves

if the lvl 30 total & lvls 50 limitation on piracy is still in effect players can still gain all port permits and still be safe ,I've done it a few times

    @Clemsonfan

month and a half for 7N R20 SBer. that's high hopes. I am sure someone will attempt it but remember there are minimal ESBRs and to actually get the ships you need to build from R9+ we need to develop ports outside EU. If development remains then this may be possible, issue with development is it would have to be extremely coordinated amongst the SB's and the nations to only focus 1 specific town till we reached development numbers for the Sambuk.
yes they can grind other ships but its not optimal.

I see some planning on speed grinding there way up. some say they will pirate after the first week.. that's gonna be hard getting around when everyone is basically the same level while your orange trying to level themselves.

I was gonna Power my way through it, but I changed my tune.

First thing I will Focus in Venice is my Feather Plucking to Fame + fishing -> cooking/storage + Oxfords(what if we have to develop London for this again)

don't forget for a lot of this process to happen we are gonna need food.. stamina is gonna be the killer early on I think.

once I find myself with enough fame for all the Port Permits depending how fast that is going, I will change focus to more cooking, I want to get fishing and cooking up before I even start thinking about other parts of game. then storage so pirates will have a hard time plundering me :)

@aceman39      "I can have sewing ranked and refined in about a week"

Ace you were already my sewing hero when you said you maxxed it. Twice. And enjoyed it! I think you're already more famous than all the fame points you're gonna need to get the quest to get the port permit to get out to India to do it. Twice.

If you can do sewing even once in the first week - I'll eat my bamboo broom*.

Well - what I mean is, when I get the fame to get the port permit for Eastern Europe, and get to Benghazi with my Search R4 (which I'd have already got) and manage to dig one up.

    *Bamboo broom - it's a sewers thing!!

I should be able to max it again in a week maybe in a week in a half just working my butt off with or without a broom and charm

    @Laviol

My plan's similar to yours. Fishing, cooking and storage at first. And some collecting and crafting to break it up. I can do all that without worrying about port permits.

I'm gonna try and enjoy it rather than grind it. Maybe do some collecting/ procurement in places I don't visit much. Set some different targets so it doesn't feel like I'm just doing the same thing again.

I reckon I'm gonna be in and around Europe for 2-3 months.

    Your also forgetting.
    Lv 1 fabric trading
    Lv 1 textile trading
    No items boosts + sewing
    No crafting books...
    No PO3s
    No food for stamina
POSSIBLY NO MASS CRAFT BUTTON- i realize some have not played during this dark time but you literally haf to click the button to craft each time... there was no 100 craft button
All that will take time. Also development maybe be required prior.

If you focus solely on sewing i say you reach Rank 9 before hitting a plateau. I need to confirm if silk thread needs development in india.

You can collect raw silk in land area NE Bengal Bay - I've got a vague memory of trying it. But otherwise I think that's it. Take a lot of collecting when you consider all the silk thread/ embroidery thread/ wool you need. Not a viable option if the towns aren't open.

yes until you fill up.. or become drunk, then it loses 50% benefit.
there will be no stomach meds or sober to use or buy.

FYI- when you drink and eat from the Tavern it Doubles your stamina regained.

I will also use the Tavern as it will be the only way to recoup stamina in the beginning but I can see a lot of port hopping with unprocessed goods to we reach higher levels or begin producing food.

If I have to click 100 times to multi-produce then I defo ain’t grinding management again.
I’ll play till the ships start getting mod’s then I’ll quit.

They have taken too much from us to then decide to make it even harder

like I said Helloall, that is how it used to be, then once you became meister I believe they gave you that auto button, also aides can have casting assistance, where they grind it for you while on ships. IIRC.

been a while since I used either one since I would just MASS PRODUCE with 3 click.

I've got recent memories of having to do all my mats processing in a tavern.

I discovered if you only fill up about 30-50% of your vig bar each time you buy food, then process then repeat - most of the time you can avoid getting the full/ drunk message.

It's slower 'cos you have to keep going back for more food - but quicker than port-hopping.

If it has stayed that way I could deal with it laviol.
But the fact that only last month I spent hours sailing and casting and smelting to max my management.....I don’t want to do it again an even harder way.

They really screwed us over wit this reset.

iirc, before we had the 100x multiproduction you coukd run mass production ,it made 1 at a time but you did not need to click for each pice.it would run until vigor ran out

I would not waste the time till the end-game, when you have some source materials collected, know what you actually want to improve or sell, and have the trade skills to craft what you need.

I definitely can get all permits within one week or so ,but I am not sure how long can I unlock all ports that include Port Royale like 196 or so.

I checked Japan wikia that anyone can start to do spice trading at Ambon and Ternate without need to investment. However, spice trader job quest may be required to consume time before you can take quest like I mean you will need Alcohol then Luxury before you can get Perfume then Spice trading.

Realistically, it will be more logical to expect that player population in this server will be reduced. Allow me to put this in numbers. If there are 10 people in the room and 1 person leaves, the end result is that there are less people than before. The number and proportion stated here is arbitrary and random. With that being said, if there are no new initiatives by papaya play to bring in new players, we can expect that it will be harder for the server in the long run to reach its original state in many aspects. Nations will need to rally players to work together and hopefully players do respond.
