as i stated before - i am extremely angry at the way things went down. i lost 2k astro in the final week. not to mention some pretty bad-arse ships and equips that i collected over the years. Tiger is still on the fence to return or not. he lost a G6 TFC+ G3 TGF combo that was almost 2750 cargo and fast as crap. and to see players rejoicing about reset and return of the days where we could get farmed well i blew my top and attacked alot of people. we spent alot of time and i personally spent alot of money over the years. I started playing this game right before the giza luxor and abu simbel dungeons were released. I found this on facebook while Tiger was recovering from scoliosis surgery. so this game has alot of sentimental value for me. and it was the one place both of us could go and just be whoever we wanted to be. but alot of the first memories arent that great. getting farmed by broonx and marguise in indian ocean. Savvia the scammer- hughesdepayens and his douchebaggery. i just dont want to return to those days of griefers and farming. hope this makes sense.

add in the fact that there is no communication with papaya it seems. I sent in a ticket with some questions and got back a copy and paste response from the already posted info. that didn't help at all

Lack of communication from papaya is making me question whether or not they even care. I doubt they do. I have been looking into other MMORPG's one I found comes out next year and its going to be subscription based. Looks really promising.

As for lack of communication, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt until launch. There is a very real possibility that they are "all hands on deck" working on getting the new servers ready, and/or have not set up their full support staff to take care of these issues until the game actually goes live.

I will reserve judgement until then. After that, they must prove themselves.

My Steam support ticket response from GM was filled with an apology for the delay due to backlog of tickets, which I can completely see regarding everything UWO related, so I am also giving them the benefit of the doubt, but I am happy enough that they answered my ticket and gave me a form to fill out for the Steam acct transfer to PP.

How long does it take to get a sense of what people are concerned about and answer in a sticky post on the forums? 5-10min??? I am sure they have been reading support tickets, then answering some and ignoring others. Along with reading some forum post from time to time. They could also edit the sticky with more questions answered. I know that they know what direction they are going to take the game by now if not....then the game is doomed for failure with only 7 days left.

Cut and paste the statement about Papaya's cut and paste responses to service tickets. At least your rant got posted.. mine never made it. Perhaps i ranted about Papaya and not players. Seems ok to abuse players in the game, just be PC and be careful with words against players. Just rape them with a Pirate. That seems to be the way to do things!

The silence is prolly because we all know how many support tickets got sent in, and prolly was also abunch of trolls spamming helpdesk cause they were mad. Clem u have a right to be upset as do we all. You know how long i've been around, and you know how many ships i had. But no need to apologize to me, to use ur energy to help rebuild UWO. Yea i would love to have me old stuff on the new server with old rules. But not going to happen. And talking about disability's ur aware that me back will never be good again. I'll never be able to run/chase after my kids again. I can barely deal with a grocery shopping trip on a good day. So games are basically all the entertainment i have left. So instead of being pissed off, i'm just happy for another couple years i still have UWO to play.

Same here. I sent ticket ,but they didn't do anything at all. I hope they won't end up like OGP. Anyway, I was able to log on again thanks to Vince because cookies were culprit that I wasn't able to login for couple days. Btw, did you get I am not robot after login today ?. Anyway, I had to use Shift + Ctrl+ Delete to wipe out cookies, browser history, and others then I was able to login without issues. smh

The posts since the announcement of the wipe have been pretty much a case study in the stages of grief. LIke you @clemsonfan, I have a very sentimental attachment to the game, as it's where I met Lug, and now we're making a life together. The last few days have been really bad for me, as I watch my hometown burn down. It's put all this drama in perspective. I just found out my 74 yr old disabled parents finally packed the car, waiting for the evacuation notice to leave, with the Napa fire a mile from their house. I already have my sister's kids here with me, 70 miles away where they are safe. I am in the middle of a spinning sh**storm. I sent in a ticket to see why Lugubrious' posts aren't showing up, waiting to hear what they say. I'll see you guys on the 18th. Lets not troll each other for a while though, ok?

I don't think most people would blame you for being upset. I only found out about OGP going down through a YouTube post by a player. I also have mixed feelings about this wipe and how difficult it is for people to even comment here. My days-old ticket remains open without a response of any kind.

I want to be excited for the game going back online, but these things are getting in the way of it.

Tbh, it was Papaya's decision to wipe server because it reached peak ,so they won't able to make money this way after all they will need to pay for maintenance server, royalty fees to Koei, and its employees.

I can understand why many players got angry over Papaya's decision to wipe server. In fact, it's not first time for me because I had to deal with several games that I spent shitload of money on games like I mean Enix decided to shutdown Dragon Quest IX 2 years later because they shifted to 3DS. I also played several MMOs that ended up wipe out too.

At least, you can create private server ,but you will need to make money to maintenance your server, though. Ark is one of them btw.
