Attention former Catch22 members

General Discussion
Let me (mamacat) know if you are going to return and plan on rejoining Catch22. We are receiving requests from others to join us, and want to make sure we have space for you. If you are on the fence, let me know that too. We won't have space for alts as far we can tell right now, but we will restart the alt company Paradox22 as well.

For people who don't know, Catch22 will be a Trade/Adventure based company in Lisbon. We also welcome maritime players as long as they are not pirates. Lugubrious, Byrdman (if he returns) and I (mamacat) will be the co-directors, just like before.

Also, please don't post about your company or other info here. This is not meant to be a recruiting post, just an fyi to our returning members that aren't on the company FB page for some reason.

    A friend of mine who plays the toon kbryant will not be back in Catch22. He says he wasn't very active anyways due to RL issues, but he said the wipe was a sign to stop, haha He said you all have great company.

    I'll probably be back on the opening day ...I typed out a 4000 word essay about why i probably won't be staying but this is a who is coming back thread.  I'll be back, take a peek at how bad it really is, and take it from there ;)

    @LyonesseJoseph Lug replied, but's stuck in post-approval-limbo. The short answer is the colony like we had it took a lot of money and time to build, and we don't plan on spending that kind of cash right now.

    Pissed isn't the word for it!  My gaming budget is ZERO, and I managed to get two ships in the B+ ducat range through hard work and a great many hours of play.  And the ships are gone, along with my full bear suit (which I didn't like but was proud of earning).  All because the new owners decided to take the easy way out.  But ... even so, I will be back.  For me, the process of the game means more than the end results, and this game is all about process.  Take care, all my friends, and I'll see you next week.

    I remember my first trip to india, on a pre-byrd character.  I was doing the portugese quest line, and i rounded cape, and got hit by a pirate.  I had 3 tribs on me and used one, and he followed me and a friend of his came.  I used another trib and then the first hit me again.  I used the third trib.  Then a third pirate joined and sunk me.  Stole an item.  lost money and crew and ship damaged.  I used items to get up and running and another pirate showed up.  They took turns hitting me all the way india laughing at me in school chat with their alts.  

    4 hours later i got to india with 1 crew member and no more life in my ship.  It would have cost me more to use mmct to restore the ship then just buy a new one.  But a ca came to my aid and chased the bad guys away so i started back with him towing me.  Half way to africa he turned around and sank me and left.

    Now we get to do this again.  Yay

    cause the pirates nerf were bad

    If you're having trouble with your comments not being approved, I think you must activate your profile before they will begin approving your comments. At the top right near the New Discussion Button, choose Profile and follow the steps. You should receive your first forum rank points by doing so and then you begin to see your comments being approved and showing visible on the forum pages.

    You don't know me, but I was told to reach out to you by Alonso and Oscar from Iberia Trading Company.  I set up a forum to re-organize ITC.  If you are interested, please let me know.  I can specifically set up a section for C22.  We've found that many of our members don't use Facebook.  I never did.
