Since a lot of us have excess time. I found a recipe and channel for whoever is interested. I found it interesting and love the channel. This guy goes all out and explains history and shows you how to make said recipe. Anyway here is the recipe for Hard Tack that you players feed to your crew when using frugality. Now you can go make it and try it for yourself. :p

    Not a bad post.  What was also interesting is how they would mix things in the water (beer and wine) to help disinfect it and keep algae from growing, or using additives like lemon juice to help fight scurvy.
