General Discussion

Each nation has its advantages and disadvantages. I will elaborate
on Dutch since I have been a Dutch player since the first year of UWO.

Starting play:

Dutch has one of the lowest fame requirements (16,000) to
unlock India and Caribbean.  

Trade:

The close proximity of ports (territories) enables Dutch
traders to grind trade skills all at once via near porting. I was formerly a player
with R 15 accounts skill and refined trading skills for years before server
wipe.  

Maritime:

The Dutch npc navy is unique when compared to other nation
npc navy. Dutch npc navy is a very good support unit. It excels in repair and
surgery. This will serve as an edge for Dutch Maritime players  in the open seas.

Shout out:

It will be logical to expect that there are fewer players in
the server in the long run after the server wipe. Dutch players will need to
work together as a nation.

    @wooderson Sure, you are welcome to join House of Oranje after server relaunches.

    Just sharing information:
    Navy dispatch orders will be required to call in Dutch navy during bounty hunting.

    Considering that we only need 16000 fame to unlock India, this gives us some options in starting play. However, we will need cooperation from all sides from day one. Be prepared to come down for imperial quests when they time comes.

    For players who intend to grind sewing and casting, the early access to iron and 3 fabrics in Amsterdam and chicken, sheep in Helder without any development will serve as an advantage for Dutch players. In many posts about other nations. they often neglect the fact that certain goods are only available when the port has high development levels.

    Ilsa will once again be calling Amsterdam her home port. The only thing about being Dutch is the long sail down to where the action usually is- Seville. Although to be fair, the last time I actively played, London seemed to be a hopping place to sell your stuff.
