General Discussion
So since papaya aren’t doing it yet. Shall we post on the other forums of papaya’s (not flood or spam) but maybe make one post to explain our great game UWO and to welcome them to join it on the 18th.

It would be nice to make them feel welcome and also our first port of call for finding new players should be those that are already familiar with papaya and already have accounts.

What do we say?

If interested maybe select one experience member to post a nice introduction to the game?!

    the more curious would be certainly already snake an eye on our forum. at least for see why their is so much activity while the game isn't even lauched yet

    Probably would work better if we all put post out on our Twitter or facebook accounts, etc, to maybe catch a few people who hadn't heard about it. Also, if you say there's a million dollar prize for the first person to get to level 100 that would probably help too.

    I really hope that the game makes a return to Steam, specially if it gets listed under the "New" category.


    Last time I checked you can't find the game on Steam anymore.

    Papaya should advertise on www.gamefaqs.com, one of the biggest there is.

    It is said that advertising is repetition, repetition, repetition.
    Assuming that is so, then we can all help by going to different game forums every week and chatting up UWO.
    Also emailing friends and inviting them to play (i.e. word of mouth advertising) can help others to find the game, which is almost invisible currently in the gaming community.
    Finally, I really think Papaya should advertise iin SAILING magazine.  People who like to sail will like this game.

    Why should we adverstise when Papaya is doing abslutely nothing?

    Launch tomorrow (?), 15 emails from Papaya;  not a damn one about UWO.  I am doing my best to advertise and publicize this game.  I am telling everyone how low down, deceitful, and uncaring they are about 7 years of game play, how they put profits over people, cater to Pie Rats . . . and to avoid this game like The Plague.

    Have reached out on multiple levels to try advertise the game on some of other favorite games forums, the offtopic section works best if they have harsh forum moderation.


    have done evrything i can to contact some of my old friends in UWO, but only limited success.

    cocoa,I know you are deeply hurt by the wipe etc ,but I'm ask you to please not ruin any chance of getting uwo going again.play or don't play,that is your choice,please allow us our choice too

    I was looking on a few different gaming/mmo sites, at comments and things of that nature about UWO. For instance, on mmorpg.com there was mention in the comments of UWO veterans being upset at the wipe yet no updated info on the actual game for now. I made it my part to add a comment that mentioned the part of Veterans who still look forward to the new launch and also mentioned the game opens today. It isn't the biggest advertisement ad but it may draw a player if they read up.

    Well i will let all my friends know that the game is opening again.
    And i will make a page dedicated to UWO on my site.
    Some posts on social networks....and that s all i can do and all i want to do for now.
    If after some time i will decide that this game has a real chance to stay online for a long timei will do more,but untill than..

    PP would be silly to advertise until tomorrow at the soonest.  And that depends on how their infrastructure holds up just with the returning population later today.
