    Well you have to have the right mentality to be a pirate,..and yes if you read comments from pirates in this topic, yeah- that's the mentality which you need,.. it's their own choice afterall. So far pirates in this game aren't really a big problem, since many people have free blue flags, at the same time many can afford them, while this will change once they stop to receive free monthly cash shop money. This game had a smaller population for a long time, with the reset it has loose even more people, piracy have often run over the top in this game, that's why the game developers have reacted and try to milder the effects of piracy with various game changes. I think Papaya has to be very careful not to loose even more people, high piracy & expensive blue flags was for many good reason to leave this game, and the same will be now if piracy runs out of control (again). Surely this game is missing the dangers of piracy, and they should make it far more challenging for pirates, as they usually all claim ''how much they like the thrill and battles,..'' no they don't really, already above in the comments from pirates you can notice huge resistance to any changes which would force pirates to fight BH's (in battle ships, not clippers) regularly, the same as traders & adventures have to deal with pirates regularly.

    I will admit to running from BHs when they are in battleships and I am in LLM. I find it funny when they have to beg me to come back and fight.
    I usually will take a fair fight though.

    But Viennas what you are forgetting is pirates are forced into pvp with BH jusg like traders are with pirates...IF we are caught.
    So just like you we face the same issues to be aware and plan our route safely and keep our eyes on the sea!
    The difference is BH can hide in search, so pirates actually have a disadvantage.


    Also pirates have more to lose as a sail around in a fair few hundred million of plunderabls equips, not to mention my 100m bow angel.

    Also just like you I am also vulnerable to pirates, they will attack me also.
